Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive aspects of eco-tourism and acknowledging its limitations. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention that eco-tourism is a 'solution,' you do not fully explore the extent of its impact or provide specific examples of how it functions in practice. The argument remains quite general, and the conclusion is somewhat repetitive. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a clear, well-supported argument that directly answers the 'to what extent' aspect of the question, rather than just listing general environmental problems.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'Therefore, eco-tourism field is growing widely'). There are instances where the logical flow between sentences is disrupted by grammatical errors, such as the repetitive use of 'still there is' or 'still there a lot of'. The transition between the benefits of eco-tourism and the limitations could be smoother to create a more cohesive argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used correctly would significantly enhance the flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several spelling errors, such as 'destractions' (distractions), 'desertation' (desertification), 'flodes' (floods), and 'spieces' (species). Additionally, some word choices are unnatural, such as 'degaging toxic gazes' instead of 'emitting toxic gases'. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'eco-system' and 'natural resources,' the frequent errors in spelling and collocation limit the clarity of your writing. Focusing on accurate spelling and learning common collocations will help you reach a higher band.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Many people finding' instead of 'Many people find') and sentence fragments (e.g., 'As concerns about the environment are growing .'). The use of articles and prepositions is also inconsistent. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often marred by errors, such as 'is continueing on degaging'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms.
