Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating that the rise of eco-tourism is a positive trend. The ideas are relevant, focusing on environmental preservation and economic benefits. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While you provide a clear argument, some points, such as the mention of 'doctors' and 'mental problems,' are slightly tangential and could have been better linked to the core argument of eco-tourism's impact. To reach a higher band, ensure that every supporting point directly reinforces your main position with more specific, logical elaboration rather than general assertions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'For instance,' 'However,' and 'Furthermore' to link sentences. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For example, the transition 'A best example for this is...' is slightly unnatural. Additionally, some sentences are run-on or lack clear internal cohesion, which makes the reader work harder to follow your train of thought. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'eco-tourism,' 'deforestation,' 'greenhouse gases,' and 'economic advancement.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'regain the symphony of nature' (which is poetic but not standard in this context) and 'threshold the tourism' (which is grammatically and lexically incorrect). There are also minor errors in word form, such as 'nature friendly' instead of 'nature-friendly.' To improve, focus on using collocations more accurately and avoiding overly ambitious phrases that do not fit the academic register.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people is shifting,' 'doctors suggests'), article usage ('the eco tourism industry'), and pluralization ('there mental problems'). Some sentences are structurally confusing, such as '...which putting forward the thought that lay on encouraging eco tourism by protecting environment.' While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article consistency.
