Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether the growing trend of eco-tourism is a positive development. A clear position is established in the introduction, stating that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks due to ecosystem maintenance. However, the development of ideas in the body paragraphs is limited, repetitive, and lacks depth or specific external examples beyond a brief mention of Pakistan. The reasoning tends to over-generalize, with vague assertions like 'when people did not make any mess it makes the places more beauitful.' While all parts of the task are addressed, the support remains underdeveloped, aligning closely with Band 5.0 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing an attempt at a standard argumentative essay structure. However, logical progression is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, repetitive phrasing, and poor sentence linking. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as 'The mainly benefit' and 'Furthermore more and more people become an eco-tourism'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the mechanical repetition of ideas prevents a smooth flow of thought. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak. These features place the response firmly at Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary range is limited and frequently strained by persistent spelling and word-choice errors. Examples include 'chossing', 'implication', 'yield', 'addopting', 'becaues', 'beauitful', 'occure', 'Travling', 'enviormentally', 'pround', 'pervent', 'globel', 'conserns', and 'apporpate'. While the writer attempts less common topics related to environmentalism and tourism, the high frequency of basic lexical and morphological errors impedes understanding in several places, restricting the score to Band 4.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, with frequent errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, and sentence construction. Examples of structural and grammatical flaws include 'people chossing to be an eco-tourists', 'this trend yield a substantial advantages', 'the benefits of people becoming a eco-tourist has significantly outweighs', and 'its hard to enjoy when you become and eco-person'. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at complex forms are consistently inaccurate. Errors occur throughout and frequently cause difficulty for the reader, fitting the Band 4.0 level.
