Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the positive trends of the eco-tourism industry, presenting a clear position and supporting ideas with explanations. The writer attempts to cover both pollution reduction and economic benefits for local communities. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on pollution control relies heavily on basic assertions regarding plastic use, and the supporting examples contain fragmented or unclear references (e.g., 'a survey has been conducted in European country'). While a clear position is maintained throughout, the supporting evidence lacks specificity and depth, which places this response comfortably in the Band 5.0 range for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs with clear introductory and concluding structures, and standard cohesive signposts such as 'To commence with' and 'Moving further' are used to sequence ideas. However, paragraphing and internal cohesion are frequently disrupted by mechanical errors, confusing referencing, and sudden typographical breakdowns (e.g., '-> for an instance' and '-> becaus after that there incens is grow'). Progression becomes difficult to follow in the body paragraphs due to fragmented sentences and awkward transitions. Cohesive devices are either inadequate or inappropriately linked, resulting in an overall organizational flow that aligns with Band 5.0 descriptors.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent word choice and collocation errors that occasionally impede communication. The student attempts less common items like 'eco-tourist', 'environment-friendly', and 'predominant', but demonstrates severe limitations in control, leading to awkward expressions such as 'population pollution' instead of 'environmental pollution' and 'incens is grow' instead of 'income increases'. Spelling and morphological inaccuracies are prevalent throughout the text (e.g., 'benfral', 'colky'), restricting the lexical range and accuracy to a Band 4.5 or 5.0 level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent errors in verb tense, subject-verb agreement, and clause structure, such as in 'more and more individuals choosing to be eco-tourist' and 'people works as tour guides'. Punctuation is frequently misused or replaced with informal arrow symbols. Complex structures are often faulty and cause significant difficulty for the reader, meaning the writing does not consistently achieve the error-free control required for a higher band. This corresponds to a Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0.
