Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially, presenting a limited position where the main thrust is somewhat unclear at the outset with phrasing like 'While some people believe that select nature friendly travelling'. Ideas are limited and under-developed throughout the essay. For instance, the writer mentions that nature provides resources like 'tree, coal, gas and woods' and that humans use these natural products, but this point lacks clear logical extension to the central question of whether eco-tourism is a positive trend. While some relevant points regarding pollution and the destruction of forests are introduced in the third paragraph, they remain underdeveloped and lack specific, well-supported examples, preventing the response from achieving a higher level of task completion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response demonstrates some organization through basic paragraphing and simple transitional markers such as 'To begin with', 'Meanwhile', and 'To conclude', but there is no clear overall progression of ideas from start to finish. Cohesive devices are often inaccurate, repetitive, or applied mechanically, as seen in phrases like 'Drastically, In many countries using woods also destroy trees' and 'It cause, increase the level of pollution'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and transitions between sentences can feel abrupt, which disrupts the flow of the argument and stops the text from achieving a fully coherent overall arrangement.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate to convey basic ideas about the environment and tourism. The writer attempts some less common terms and topic-specific vocabulary such as 'environmentally-friendly', 'pollution', and 'oxygen', but these attempts are marred by noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling, such as 'essy', 'inregular', and 'nature friendly travelling'. Furthermore, awkward collocations like 'arrange environmentally tourisms' and 'previous year, decrease the level of trees' create noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader and prevent the lexical range from expanding beyond basic adequacy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writing exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic subject-verb patterns. Where the student attempts more complex sentences, the structures are frequently faulty, leading to basic errors in agreement, verb forms, and punctuation. Examples include 'individuals needs to protect', 'Humans are use This natural products', and 'It is danger for humans'. Punctuation errors, such as unnecessary spaces before commas and full stops, are also frequent. These frequent errors in grammar and punctuation can cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a restricted control over sentence forms.
