Student answer (Band 5.0)
In contemporary society, ecosystem plays an vital in an individual's life. A segment of the population believes that tourists should travel in responsible, eco-friendly ways which contributes in expanding industry of eco-tourism. I strongly agree with the statement because environment friendly tourism leads to clean, safe and secure atmosphere which builds healthy society.
On the one hand, as eco-tourism increases it helps in culture as well as heritage growth more and more people get to know about new places, its history. For instance, if significant amount of tourist visit one place it raise its value and importance.
On the other hand, tourism is necessary for trade and nation progress because it depends on healthy relations with another nation which is only possible by this method. Additionally, it is fruitful in maintaing proper relations between two communities. Tourism increases businesses of many companies which are tourist based by this income of many employees increase.
In conclusion, from my perspective I strongly agree with the view because it assist in human progress and development. It is pivotal for relationship between two nations. Moreover, many sector increases with the assistance of eco-tourism as it role is crucial in many ways for many communities.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You state a clear position—“I strongly agree”—and give reasons related to cultural awareness, international relations and employment. However, the response only partially addresses the specific question of whether the growth of eco-tourism is positive: several points discuss tourism generally, without explaining how environmentally responsible travel produces these benefits or balancing them against possible drawbacks. The example about tourists raising a place’s “value and importance” is not sufficiently explained, and the claim about relations between nations is also broad. The response is 50 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop relevant reasons and examples. To strengthen the answer, explain the environmental benefits directly and support each main point with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the main sections. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven: the first body paragraph moves from cultural heritage to the value of a place without clearly connecting the ideas, while the second shifts from national relations to community relations and business income. Some links are mechanical, and “Additionally” does not clarify how the point develops the preceding idea. The conclusion repeats the position but introduces no clear synthesis. Group related ideas together and use explicit cause-and-effect links so each paragraph develops one central reason.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “eco-friendly,” “heritage,” “communities” and “eco-tourism,” and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or vague. For example, “helps in culture as well as heritage growth” is not a natural way to describe the benefit, and “healthy relations” and “human progress and development” are broad phrases that do not convey precise meaning. There are also word-form and spelling problems, such as “maintaining” being misspelled as “maintaning.” Aim for more precise expressions connected to the prompt, such as conservation, local livelihoods and environmental impact, and check that words combine naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause with “because” and a conditional structure beginning “if.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in articles, agreement, verb forms and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “an vital,” “which contributes in expanding,” “it raise its value,” and “many sector increases.” The sentence beginning “For instance” also needs clearer punctuation and a complete, well-controlled structure. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and article use, and make sure each sentence has a clear subject and verb. More accurate control of these basic patterns would make your ideas easier to understand.
