Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You take a generally positive position, stating that eco-tourism offers people a break from pollution and stress and can encourage them to help the environment. These points are relevant, and you give some explanation of why people might choose this kind of travel. However, the response only partly answers the question: it does not clearly weigh the extent to which the expanding industry is positive, and several claims—such as its benefits for confidence, data analysis and problem-solving—are asserted without a clear link to eco-tourism or supporting examples. The final point about low cost is also introduced but not explained. Develop two or three central benefits with specific examples, and acknowledge any limitations to make your position more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a broad movement from environmental problems, to people seeking a break, to the possible benefits of eco-tourism. This gives the reader a basic sense of your intended argument. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, and the progression is difficult to follow because many ideas are joined in extended sentences. Connectors such as “So,” “Because of,” and “In the result” are used mechanically or unclearly, while references such as “they,” “it,” and “these affects” do not always make the intended meaning clear. Group the environmental context, the benefits, and your conclusion into separate paragraphs. Use clear topic sentences and make each sentence develop one point before moving to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “environmentally-friendly,” “pollution,” “eco-system,” and “social workings,” and you try to express ideas about environmental responsibility and personal development. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “things,” “help,” and “problem,” and several choices or forms make the meaning unclear: “positive vibes,” “eco-system higly,” and “provoke environment” are not natural in this context. Spelling errors such as “curently,” “disabel,” and “responsibilty” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of topic vocabulary and check collocations; for example, explain how tourism can “support conservation” or “reduce environmental impact” rather than relying on vague expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain causes and results, but control is inconsistent, and many sentences contain errors that make the reader work to understand the relationships between ideas. For example, “many of people is become” has problems with determiner, agreement and verb form, while “people wants” and “they decided” do not maintain correct agreement or tense. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also weak: the opening runs into several ideas without clear separation, and commas are often placed around spaces or used where a full stop is needed. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “which,” and “as a result.”
