Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that every living in this earth are facing different kind of difficulties regarding environment, which has become a growing global concern. While eco-tourism has boosted because of the shift towards eco-tourist- responsible and environmentally-frienldly travelling ways. I also strongly believe that it is positive development because it reduces the environmental pollution and leads encourage to become a responsible citizen.
On the one hand, there are significant number of advantages of being eco-tourists. Redution of pollution is one of the major contribution of this practice. If we consider as a eco-tourist, we will undoubtedly do not discard wastage in the surrounding. For instance, developed countries like Switzerland is likely to focus on eco-tourism practices to encourage tourist attraction and increse more beauty. As a result, Switzerland is considered as the major tourist attraction and beautiful countries among countries.
On the other hand, it also leads into a positve development for both individuals and the concerned authorities. In other word, this kind of activites are the some of prerfect examples to aware residents about negative impacts of the environmental pollution. If we involve in capmaigh and educate every humankind in this earth, further communities and group also learn or give an assist to preserve our natural habitat. Consequently, it is not possible by a single men and women, we have to gather and involve in this positive envrionmenal preserve actions.
In conclusion, eco-tourism not only decreases the contamination from the surroundings but also make a good individual and citizens.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you strongly support eco-tourism, and you give two relevant reasons—reducing pollution and encouraging people to protect natural habitats. The Switzerland example also attempts to illustrate the benefits. However, the response only partly develops these points. The claim that tourists “will undoubtedly do not discard wastage” is not explained, and the Switzerland example focuses on its popularity and beauty rather than showing how eco-tourism reduces environmental harm. The second body paragraph shifts between educating residents, community action and individual responsibility without developing one point in detail. To strengthen the response, explain the mechanisms and outcomes of each benefit, and use a specific example that directly supports your argument.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, so the overall arrangement is coherent. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from waste disposal to Switzerland’s tourist appeal without a clear link, while the second moves from awareness campaigns to collective responsibility. Some linking phrases are mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately, such as “In other word” and “Consequently.” Make each paragraph follow a clearer sequence—main point, explanation, relevant example, and result—and use pronouns and transitions that clearly connect ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “eco-tourism,” “environmental pollution,” “natural habitat” and “preserve,” and you use some relevant phrases such as “global concern.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, including “leads encourage,” “major contribution,” “tourist attraction” and “environmental preserve actions.” Spelling errors such as “Redution,” “increse,” “positve” and “envrionmenal” are also noticeable. Aim to learn common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; precise expressions will help you explain environmental benefits more convincingly. For example, describe how tourism “reduces waste” or “supports conservation,” rather than relying on broad or awkward phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence beginning “If we consider…” and a clause introduced by “While.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction can make the reader work to understand your meaning. For example, “every living in this earth are facing” has problems with the subject and verb, while “it also leads into a positive development” uses an unclear grammatical pattern. “Switzerland is likely to focus” also does not agree with the plural subject “developed countries.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar. Check agreement and verb patterns during revision.
