Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is an undeniable fact that the concern for the environment is growing rapidly and more and more people are choosing to be eco-tourist. Although some might consider it subordinate postive trend, I believe it to be extremely beneficial not only beacuse it protects the environment and and create job opportunities but also because the raise environmental awareness. This essay will discuss how these factors make this development an extreme postive trend.

There are neumrous benefits of this trend. To commence with, one of the prime advantages of this trend is its protects the environment. Eco- tourism helps protect natural environments and endangered wildlife. For example, tourists who visit national parks and wildlife sanctuaries often pay entrance fees, which can be used to protect forests and endangered animals. Thus, this benefit can almost single handedly make this trend positive.

In addition, another major pros linked with this trend is it creates job opportunities. Eco- tourism creates employment opportunities for local people and improves thier living style. For Instance, in northern Pakistan, areas such as Hunza and skardu attract tourists who hires local guides, stay in local hotels, and buy handable products, helping local communities to earn money. Hence this benefit can over shadow any negative trend.

Furthermore, another considreable mesit associate with this trend is its raise environmental awareness. Eco-tourism encourage people to understand the imporatne of protecting nature and reducing pollution.

In conclusion, I believe that this trend is an overall extreme postive one because its xpanding the tourism on extreme level.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider eco-tourism an extremely positive trend, and you give relevant reasons involving conservation, local employment and environmental awareness. The examples of entrance fees supporting wildlife protection and tourists hiring local guides help explain the first two points. However, the awareness point is only briefly stated, and the conclusion repeats your view without summarising the reasons or explaining the claim that tourism is expanding “on extreme level.” The response also falls short of the required 250 words: 17 words copied from the task prompt were not counted, and the response is 13 words under the minimum. Develop each reason with a fuller explanation or example to address the task more completely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs for the main benefits, and a conclusion. This makes the overall line of argument easy to identify. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical: “To commence with,” “In addition,” and “Furthermore” repeatedly announce points rather than showing how the ideas connect. Some linking phrases are also unclear or awkward, such as “Hence this benefit can over shadow any negative trend,” which does not specify what negative trend means. The final paragraph is very brief and does not bring the discussion together. Use fewer formulaic transitions, connect explanations directly to examples, and make references and concluding statements more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “endangered wildlife,” “national parks,” “local communities,” and “environmental awareness,” so the reader can follow the subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “prime advantages” and “employment opportunities.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce accuracy: “subordinate postive trend,” “handable products,” “considreable mesit,” and “raise environmental awareness.” Repetition of “trend,” “benefit,” and “creates” also limits flexibility. Choose familiar expressions you can use accurately, check spelling carefully, and vary repeated words with precise alternatives such as “advantage,” “conservation,” or “local income.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including the opening contrast beginning “Although some might consider it…” and the sentence explaining how entrance fees can support conservation. However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect fluency. For example, “it protects the environment and and create job opportunities” has inconsistent verb forms, while “another major pros … is it creates” has problems with number and sentence construction. Other examples include “tourists who hires” and “Eco-tourism encourage,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect. The conclusion, “because its xpanding,” also lacks a correctly formed verb. Practise agreement, complete clause structures, and accurate verb forms, then proofread each sentence.
