Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the recent times, people are getting concious about nature and environment which give us a new term called eco-tourist. As a result, people tend to become an eco-tourist by travelling with responsibility without disturbing nature or altering the habitats. For this, eco-tourism industry has been started and developed day by day. From my point of view, it is a positive trend thoughout the industries. In the following essay, I will defend this thought.
First of all, for globalization, nowadays people become more fascinated about travelling. Also for these tourists, locals of the tourism area, arrange different kind of seminar to aware them about ecology. As a result, tourists are become eco friendly than previous. For instrance, they do not want any kind of product that harm nature in their home such as plastics or products made of plastics. It is a really great change of mind that actually matters for nature to become more attractive for other tourists.
Beside these, A lot of organisations is grown up to support this behaviour. They help the tourists by selling different kind of product that made of wooden or something those are biodegradable. Also they run different seminars and awarness program to clean the local environment and surrondings. However, some companies can try to cheat with customers by selling the low quality product over price also can get benefited by giving false advertisement in these type of volunteering awarness program.
To conclude, overall, this aforementioned trend has a great opportunity to protect our surroundings also beneficial for habitats. From my point view, this can create a valuable impact for attracting new tourists and also important for economy of a tourist's place.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and you give relevant reasons, including greater awareness among visitors and organisations’ efforts to promote environmentally friendly practices. The example of avoiding plastic products helps illustrate your point. However, the response only partly develops the task: the discussion focuses more on awareness campaigns and products than on how responsible travel benefits the environment or local communities. The concern about companies using false advertising is relevant, but its effect on your overall judgement is not explained. To strengthen the response, develop each reason with a specific consequence or example, and clarify whether these risks reduce your support for the trend or can be managed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main position is easy to identify. Sequencing phrases such as “First of all,” “Beside these,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the response. However, progression within the body paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the link between tourists avoiding plastic and attracting more tourists, for example, needs explanation. Some connections are also mechanical, and the second body paragraph shifts from organisations’ activities to misleading companies without showing how the contrast relates to your position. Use clearer links between claims and consequences, and make each paragraph develop one central idea in a more deliberate order.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourism,” “habitats,” “biodegradable,” and “false advertisement,” which shows an attempt to discuss environmental travel specifically. There is also some variety in how you describe the trend and its possible effects. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “different kind of,” “product,” and “great,” while several word choices or combinations are unnatural, including “aware them about ecology” and “a valuable impact.” Spelling errors such as “concious,” “instrance,” and “surrondings” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; the suggestions below offer useful replacements.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “though” and “by,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, especially in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “which give us” instead of “which gives us,” “tourists are become,” and “A lot of organisations is grown up.” The sentence beginning “However, some companies can try to cheat…” also lacks a clear grammatical structure for connecting its ideas. These recurring errors sometimes make the reader pause. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and build longer sentences from clearly connected clauses before adding more complexity.
