Student answer (Band 5.5)

Absolutely, concern for the protection of environment among the people is rapidly growing. During the present decade the long lasting effects of environment have compelled the people to protect the environment by adoption of suistainable ways of travelling. Consequently, people are choosing eco-tourism and industry is expanding.

Adverse effects of tempered environment have made the people to think of more conservative ways of travelling. Carbon dioxide emission is the perpetual reason behind the effected environment and the one of the largest source of carbon emission is through burning of fuel and coal. In other way, we can say that combustion engines are very much responsible for the changed environment than it used to be. Moreover, spreading the litter is one of the greatest reason behind dirty environment. Polluted environment has raised various concerns among people, particularly related to health. More and more pandemics are arising which make the people alert about their environment.

As a consequence, people are denying the use of engines operated by the combustion of diesel and petroleum. They are adopting eco-tourism and travelling by electrical vehicles which are energy efficient as well as sustainable. Hence, electrical vehicles are cist effective. As a result, they are useful weapon for humans in this war of protection of environment.

People are more aware and educated, they are not producing litter anymore and selecting recyclable materials. Which in return also supporting eco-tourism industry which is a positive trend.

Although altered environment has adverse effects, it make people more alertive. And they are choosing methods to preserve the environment. Which is really a positive intent.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear in the final paragraph: you regard the growth of eco-tourism as positive, and you give relevant reasons involving emissions, litter, health, and more sustainable travel. However, the response only partly develops the question. Much of the discussion explains why environmental concern is increasing, rather than showing how the expanding eco-tourism industry benefits the environment or communities. The claim that electric vehicles are cost-effective and the point about recyclable materials are introduced but not supported with specific examples or explanation. To strengthen the response, state your degree of agreement directly in the introduction, then develop two or three benefits with concrete examples and explain how each supports your view.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, paragraphs about environmental problems and travel choices, and a concluding view. Ideas are generally grouped by topic, and connectors such as “Consequently,” “Moreover,” and “As a result” help show relationships. However, progression is limited because several points repeat the same general idea that environmental damage makes people more aware. Some links are also mechanical or unclear: “Which in return also supporting eco-tourism industry” is not a complete connection to the preceding sentence, and the final paragraph largely restates earlier claims. Organise the body around distinct benefits of eco-tourism, and use clear topic sentences and references so each paragraph advances the argument rather than repeating it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “sustainable,” “combustion engines,” “recyclable materials,” and “eco-tourism,” which helps communicate the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated use of broad terms such as “environment” and “people,” while several inaccurate word choices or collocations make meaning less clear. Examples include “tempered environment,” “effected environment,” “alertive,” and “useful weapon” for environmental protection. There are also spelling errors such as “suistainable” and “cist.” Aim for precise, natural combinations and check spelling; for example, describe environmental damage as “environmental degradation” and say that people are “becoming more aware” rather than “more alertive.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including clauses beginning with “Although” and “which.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “Which in return also supporting eco-tourism industry” is a fragment, while “Although altered environment has adverse effects, it make people more alertive” has problems with article use and subject–verb agreement. “More and more pandemics are arising which make the people alert” also has an unclear clause structure and agreement. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and finite verb, and check articles, agreement, and punctuation. Separating linked ideas into shorter sentences will improve accuracy while you develop control of complex forms.
