Student answer (Band 6.0)
Being consious of the environment is a great step on ensuring that our planet is taken care of and there is a greater concern on the manner and speed in which our surrounding is deterioriating. For this purpose, many people are choosing to travel in environmentally friendly ways. In my opinion, i believe this is a positive trend that leads to the preservation and conservation of endagered species and preserve our environment by reducing littering.
With the increase of eco-tourism, a large proportion of people have knowledge on the significance of protecting the flora and fauna by being concious of their means of transportation. This will ensure that plants and animals that are conserved moreso those that are almost. For instance, use of electric cars reduces the amount of carbon transmitted into the atmosphere hence reducing global warming which will inturn improve their natural habitat. Furthermore, favourable climate will ensure there is enough food and water for animals and plants. This automatically increases chances of tousrim thriving and developing since population will increase.
In addition, the use of renewable items reduces the possibility of pollution. A number of people are using items that are environmentally friendly such as water bottles and disposable items that decompose easily be reused. The use of these degradable items ensures littering of areas around us is minimised.
In conclusion, eco-tourism industry is rapidly expanding and this is an appropriate way to ensure that the environment is cared for and protected. Therefore this is the best way to ensure that the general development of our space is maintained for tomorrow and the future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and you give relevant reasons involving wildlife conservation and reduced pollution. The examples of electric cars and reusable or degradable products help connect the argument to practical actions. However, the first main idea is not fully explained: the link between transport choices, a favourable climate, and tourism development is difficult to follow, and the claim that animal populations will increase needs clearer support. The second point about reducing litter is relevant but brief. To strengthen the response, explain how responsible tourism directly protects habitats and local environments, and develop each example so its effect on the issue is explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally group related ideas, and signposts such as “Furthermore,” “In addition” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the argument visible. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This automatically increases chances of tourism thriving” follows a discussion of food and water for wildlife, but the causal link is not sufficiently explained. The reference in “their natural habitat” is also unclear. Improve progression by making each paragraph follow a clear sequence—claim, explanation and example—and use pronouns only when their reference is unmistakable.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourism,” “flora and fauna,” “renewable,” “pollution” and “decompose,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more precise environmental language, although some choices are inaccurate or awkward: “carbon transmitted into the atmosphere” would be more naturally expressed as carbon emissions, and “disposable items that decompose easily be reused” is unclear. Spelling errors such as “consious,” “deterioriating,” “endagered” and “tousrim” also reduce accuracy. Build precision by checking spelling and learning common collocations for environmental topics; this will make your ideas clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning “since” and “which,” and most of the argument remains understandable. Some grammatical errors occur, particularly with sentence construction, agreement and articles. For example, “a great step on ensuring” uses an incorrect preposition pattern, while “plants and animals that are conserved moreso those that are almost” is incomplete and does not express a clear relationship. In “This automatically increases chances,” the article before “chances” is missing, and “items … that decompose easily be reused” lacks a grammatical connection between the verbs. Review clause structure and check that each sentence has a complete, logically connected verb phrase.
