Student answer (Band 5.5)

There are several studies mention that, the environmental problem is growing rapidly and most of people prefer the eco-tourist like using the electric vehicles or pubic buses rather than using the gasoline cars which released heavy amount of carbon into the environment due to this, business which is linked to the tourism industry is expanding. Moreover, I think this is a postive trend not only for biodiversity but also for humans.

Regarding the postive benefits of travelling responsile is not just to enhance the climate but more about economically. Because the business and employements ratio have been increased significantly andd the life standard of native has also enhanced. For Instance, When more tourist go to the tourist places like in murree or giliyat. Ultimately, it will lead to the financial growth of native people.

Furthermore, it is not only benefit financially to the humans but it also leads to increase in biodiversity. Because several studies reveals that due to huge amount of carbon emissions which is caused by tourist vehicles are becoming threat for biodiversity. For instance, according the dawn newspaper, every year thirty million domstic tourist visited the northern sides of pakistan and most of tourist come to these places by their own vehicles. So, when more and more people used the electric vehicles which produced less carbon can be benefit to the biodiversity.

Lastly, I conclude that, more and more people travelling responsibly and environmentally-friendly this can be a positive step to expanding the tourism industry which is highly benefical for people

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and you address both economic benefits and biodiversity. The examples of Murree and Galiyat, and of visitors travelling to northern Pakistan, make the discussion relevant to your context. However, the economic point is asserted more than explained: the link between tourism, employment and improved living standards would be stronger with a specific explanation or example. The environmental argument also needs more precision, since the response first describes tourists’ vehicles as a threat and then proposes electric vehicles without explaining how eco-tourism encourages their use. Develop these points and acknowledge a possible drawback, such as pressure on fragile sites, to make the response more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The paragraphs generally separate economic and environmental benefits, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore” and “Lastly” help show the intended progression. At times, however, the connections feel mechanical or unclear. For example, “Regarding the positive benefits … is not just to enhance the climate but more about economically” does not clearly introduce the paragraph’s main point, while “Because” begins standalone sentences that depend on the preceding idea. The Murree and Galiyat example is also left incomplete, so its connection to the claim is not fully established. Use clearer topic sentences, link examples explicitly to claims, and vary transitions rather than relying on repeated additive markers.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “biodiversity,” “carbon emissions,” “environmentally-friendly” and “financial growth,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the tourism industry is expanding.” However, inaccurate word choice, spelling and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less precise: “eco-tourist” is used where “eco-tourism” or “eco-tourists” is needed, “employements ratio” is unclear, and “native” is not natural for local residents. Errors such as “postive,” “responsile” and “domstic” also reduce control. Build a reliable set of topic collocations and check spelling and word forms; for example, use “employment opportunities” and “local residents’ living standards.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex structures, including a contrast with “not only … but also” and clauses introduced by “which” and “when.” This gives the response some variety, but control is uneven. Several sentences contain errors in clause structure or agreement, such as “There are several studies mention that” and “several studies reveals”; the latter needs a plural verb, while the former needs a structure such as “Several studies mention that.” Sentence boundaries are also problematic: the opening runs several ideas together, and “Because the business and employements ratio have been increased” is a fragment. Review subject–verb agreement, articles and sentence boundaries, and practise combining ideas into complete sentences. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument easier to follow.
