Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern epoch, a large number of public is moving towards eco-tourism in response to the growing concerns of the planet. In my perspective, travelling in sensible and environment friendly manner has more favorable points than those of negative ones which I will discuss in subsequent paragraph.
To embark with, this is largely a positive trend due to variety of factors. First and foremost, eco tourism plays a significant role in protecting the environment. It encourages visitors to respect the nature. To exemplify, people who visit national parks, wildlife sanctuaries and other such geographical places are seen to adhere to the strict rules imposed by management such as avoid littering, moving in lanes, respecting animals and so on. As a result, such rules help to foster positive habits throughout their journey. Furthermore, it helps to conserve wildlife and natural habitats.Nextly, it is also responsible for promoting awareness about environmental issues which also leads in reducing pollution and waste in the natural world. In this way, the eco-tourism industry also boosts by creating jobs for the local vendors as tourists spend hefty amount of money on accomodation, foods and gifts.
In contrast to this, too many tourists can damage natural habitats and may disturnb wildlife. some businesses falsely advertise themselves as eco-friendly which breaks the trust of public.
To conclude, there are numerous positive points. yet, government should introduce strict rules to avoid overcrowding in such areas.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider eco-tourism more positive than negative, and you give relevant reasons, including respect for nature, wildlife conservation, environmental awareness and local employment. The examples of rules in parks help illustrate your first point. However, the discussion is only partial and several ideas are asserted rather than explained. For instance, you say eco-tourism reduces pollution and waste, but do not show how this happens; the claim about jobs is also brief. The opposing view—habitat damage, disturbance to wildlife and misleading advertising—is introduced but not developed or weighed against the benefits. The response is 14 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop these points. Extend the explanation and add a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting eco-tourism, a brief counterargument and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Furthermore” and “In contrast to this” make the direction of the argument apparent. However, progression within the main paragraph is somewhat mechanical, with several points added in sequence rather than clearly connected or developed. The counterargument is very short, so the essay does not fully balance its two sides, and the conclusion largely repeats the opening position. Some transitions are awkward, such as “Nextly,” while “In this way” does not clearly show how the preceding point leads to local job creation. Group related ideas and use clearer links between cause, example and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “wildlife sanctuaries,” “natural habitats,” “environmental issues” and “overcrowding,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at less common or formal wording, such as “foster positive habits” and “adhere to.” However, several choices are unnatural or imprecise, and some spelling errors are noticeable. For example, “a large number of public” and “hefty amount of money” do not fit the intended meaning naturally; “disturnb” and “accomodation” are misspelled. “Foods” is also not the natural choice when referring generally to what tourists buy or eat. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than elevated wording that does not quite fit.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “people who visit national parks…” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” This shows some range, and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, errors recur in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation. For example, “a large number of public is moving” has an agreement and noun-phrase problem, while “in sensible and environment friendly manner” is missing an article. There are also run-on or poorly punctuated transitions, as in “respect the nature. To exemplify,” and sentence openings after full stops are sometimes not capitalised (“some businesses”; “yet”). Review article use, subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries, then proofread for punctuation and capitalisation.
