Student answer (Band 5.5)

I believe that it is a positive trend that noticble number of people are choosing to be eco-tourists travelling in reponsible, environmentally-friendly ways because of the rapidly growing concerns for the enviroment. That's why the eco-tourism industry is expanding.

In last decade in my own country every tourist place was like hell, totally polluted with different kind of things like plastic bags, dirt and trash everwhere. At that timepeople was not that much awear of problems related to pollution and the dameg caused by it to the nature. But now a days, almost everyone is well awear of their own responsibillities to how to keep the enviroment clean and how those things could effect the nature even natural habitats.

Now most of the tourist interational or local are trying their best to help each natural spot to recover. Like recently I visited Naran with a international tourist and some Pakistanis, every one was very care full to not through any trash or something made from plastic or anything which could effect the habitats of the place which we was visiting and even some of them brought new plants with them there so they could plant them there. Now even the locals living near touriost spots are trying their best to help the nature recover from the loss it had faced in past few years from pollutionand groverment is involved in this procces to help the locals in it.

However, their are still some people who needs to learn the true value of nature because with everyday pollution is increasing at a very alarting rate and we should do our best to control it with each other's help.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and you support this with relevant observations about pollution, tourists’ behaviour and local involvement. The account of visiting Naran gives the response a specific example, including visitors avoiding plastic and bringing plants to restore the area. You also acknowledge that some people still need to understand nature’s value. However, the discussion focuses mainly on litter and habitat recovery; it could address the trend more fully by explaining other benefits or possible drawbacks, such as economic effects on local communities or the risk of damage from increased visitor numbers. Some points, including government involvement, are introduced but not explained in enough detail.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall shape: it states a view, describes changes over time, gives a personal example and ends with a qualification. Time markers such as “In last decade” and “But now a days” help show the contrast, while “However” signals a shift to the remaining problem. At times, though, the progression within paragraphs is less controlled. The long paragraph about Naran moves from visitors’ actions to local residents and then government without clearly separating or developing those points. Some references, such as “those things” and “it,” are not fully precise. Use clearer topic sentences and divide the example from the wider discussion to make the links between ideas easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourists,” “pollution,” “natural habitats” and “locals,” and the reader can understand your main points. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word choices are noticeable and sometimes make reading difficult. Examples include “enviroment,” “dameg,” “alarting” and “through” where “throw” is intended. Phrases such as “tourist place was like hell” and “help the nature recover from the loss” are understandable but informal or awkward for this essay. Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, such as describing destinations as “heavily polluted” and saying that visitors “help restore the natural environment.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a contrast introduced by “However.” This gives the response some structural variety, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement and articles recur. For example, “In last decade” needs an article, “people was” should be “people were,” and “there are still some people who needs” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “Now most of the tourist…” also contains several clauses joined without clear control, while “which we was visiting” has an incorrect verb form. Practise checking agreement and building long sentences from shorter, accurately punctuated clauses.
