Student answer (Band 6.5)
As the concern for preserving the environment is rising, an increasing number of people are preferring to travel in ways that is responsible and friendly for the environment, which has boosted the growth of eco-tourism industry greatly. I personally find this enhanced trend of eco-tourists to be very positive due to following reasons.
Firstly, I believe this trend has played a key role in improving our efforts to preserve the nature. It is sensitizing the Individuals about the importance of protecting the earth and it natural resources. As a result, more people are becoming careful to not throw trash everywhere and add to the already deteriorating environment. For example, I personally go on tours and have observed the litter thrown by people everywhere which damages the scenic beauty we specifically go to witness. But as now people are becoming more aware, this practice is reducing, making it beneficial to both, individual experience as well as the environment preservation.
Secondly, it is also contributing to economic growth worldwide. As travelers are becoming conscious of their impact on the surroundings, they are less likely to damage the popular tourist spots. This, consequently, reduces the economic burden on locals to keep spending in maintaining those spots and, also help them earn more as more travelers are attracted to the clean and aesthetic nature points where they can take a break. A case in point is rising tourism towards North in Pakistan. Thus, the trend is actually helping several societies to grow financially.
Finally, and most importantly, the rage about being environmental-friendly is actually making people more responsible and accountable. Instead of blaming the government and third parties, individuals are now focusing on playing their own part first which can lead to a better environment in the long run. To illustrate, our friends circle specially conducted a clean drive campaign when we went to a hiking trip last year, where all members were involved in collecting wrappers and litter. This enhanced sense of responsibility, I believe, is definitely a great benefit of the rising eco-tourism culture.
To conclude, I would argue that the increasing trend of eco-tourism and eco-tourism, emerging from growing concerns about environmental safety, actually has several positive aspects, including improved nature preservation, increased economic growth and enhanced sense of accountability among individuals and society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and the conclusion restates this view. You address the question with three relevant benefits—nature preservation, economic growth, and personal responsibility—and support them with examples, including your clean-up campaign. This gives the response a solid, relevant foundation. However, the development is uneven: the economic point is less fully explained, and the claim that eco-tourism reduces locals’ maintenance costs and attracts more visitors would benefit from a clearer causal link or specific evidence. Some claims, such as littering becoming less common, are also asserted broadly. More precise explanation of how responsible travel produces each benefit would strengthen the response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, three body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Finally” make the progression easy to follow, and examples are generally placed alongside the points they support. This clear organisation is a strength. At times, however, cohesion feels mechanical because each paragraph follows the same signposted pattern, and some links between ideas are not fully explicit. For instance, the economic paragraph moves from reduced damage to lower maintenance costs and then to increased visitor numbers without explaining each connection. The conclusion also repeats “eco-tourism” and the three benefits rather than synthesising the argument. Use more varied transitions and clearer links between cause and effect.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “preserve,” “deteriorating environment,” “economic burden,” and “sense of responsibility.” These choices help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning remains clear throughout. You also attempt less common expressions, but some are inaccurate or unnatural: “the rage about being environmental-friendly” does not suit the intended meaning, while “nature points” and “aesthetic nature” are awkward collocations. There are also word-form and spelling issues, such as “sensitizing” where “raising awareness” would be more natural, and inconsistent capitalisation in “Individuals.” To improve, prioritise precise, natural collocations over ambitious phrasing, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including subordinate clauses and cause-and-effect structures, as in “As travelers are becoming conscious of their impact…” and “Instead of blaming the government…”. Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, and errors rarely prevent understanding. Some grammatical inaccuracies remain, however. In the opening, “ways that is responsible” has a subject–verb agreement error; “it natural resources” needs a possessive form; and “this practice is reducing” is not the appropriate verb construction in context. In the economic paragraph, “it…help them earn” also has an agreement error, and the sentence containing “and, also help” is awkwardly punctuated and structured. Review agreement, possessives, and sentence boundaries, then proofread complex sentences for accurate construction.
