Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, people have become more conscious of environmental issues, leading to a rise in eco-friendly environment. This has contributed to the rapid growth of eco-tousirm. This statement has positive trends which will discuss in the upcoming paragarph before reaching to a logical conclusion.
To commence with, there are some compelling reasons why it is considered as a positive trends. The chief one is, Protect the environment. To explain it, eco-torism plays a significant role in protecting the environment. It encourages the visitors to keep tourist destination clean, minimum waste and avoid harming wildlife. For instance, people visiting the national parks are often encouraged to follow specific rules to protect animals and their habitats. Furthermore, such experiences helps people to understand the importance of environmental protection and motivates them to make more sustainable choices in their everyday lives.
Moving further, the expansion of eco-tourism can improve the economic conditions of local communities.People living in urban areas can earn money by working as guides, running small guesthouses or selling locally made products, For example, villages in India with beautiful landscapes can attract people who are interested in nature and traditional cultures. This creates job and supports local businesses. Nevertheless, uncontrolled toursim may lead to littering, pollution and damage to natural habitats. Therefore, appropriate regulations should be introduced to ensure that tourist activities do not harm the environment.
To conclude it, I consider the increasing popularity of eco-tourism to be a positive trend. Although it can have certain drawbacks when poorly controlled, its contribution to environmental conservation and local economic development makes it beneficial overall.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive overall, while acknowledging that poorly controlled tourism can cause harm. You address both environmental protection and benefits to local communities, and the national-park and village examples make the discussion relevant. The conclusion also reflects the balanced view introduced in the body. However, some points are asserted more than explained: for example, the claim that visitors are encouraged to keep destinations clean could be developed by explaining how responsible tourism practices reduce pressure on habitats. The economic example is also general rather than specific. You already show some development beyond a basic response; to strengthen it further, explain the mechanisms and consequences behind each main claim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a coherent overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The progression from environmental benefits to local economic benefits, followed by a qualification about uncontrolled tourism, is easy to follow. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moving further” and “To conclude” help signal stages in the argument. However, some transitions feel formulaic, and the opening sentence “This statement has positive trends” does not clearly connect the topic to your position. There are also places where punctuation and paragraph flow interrupt the reading, such as the missing space after “communities.” and the comma splice before “For example.” Use fewer stock transitions and make links between claims and supporting explanations more explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “environmental protection,” “wildlife,” “natural habitats,” “sustainable choices” and “local economic development.” These expressions help communicate the main ideas, and the meaning is generally clear. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “eco-tousirm,” “eco-torism,” “paragarph” and “toursim.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “rise in eco-friendly environment” does not accurately describe the growth in responsible travel, while “positive trends” should be expressed as a positive trend. “Creates job” is another awkward form. Check spelling carefully and choose collocations that describe the specific idea, rather than relying on broad or repeated wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a relative clause in “villages in India with beautiful landscapes can attract people who are interested in nature” and a concession in “Although it can have certain drawbacks when poorly controlled.” Most sentences communicate their meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “such experiences helps” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “This statement has positive trends which will discuss” is an incomplete and unclear construction. The sentence beginning “The chief one is” is also not grammatically integrated with the explanation that follows. Review agreement, sentence completeness and punctuation, especially where clauses are joined. More consistently controlled complex sentences would make the argument smoother and more precise.
