Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years, worry for the environment is increasing fastly and more and more people want to be environment friendly visitors. They want to do travelling by adopting responsible approach . As a result, the eco-tourism industry is flourishing.I completely agree with this trend because of its benefits to local community and environment as well as its a source to generate revenue for government.
Tourism has significant benefits for native inhabitants because it brings alot of job opportunities for the people of that area. For instance the jobs of construction, chief, promotion of local hadicrafts and artistry, travel guide and alot of more. People are more conscious about their environment. So environment trips allow people to enjoy the scenery of that particular area, while keeping in mind to not spoil the beauty of the area. For example a group of tourists going for camping will enjoy the camping and all other facilities, and the same time they will be responsible to clean the location before their departure.
Although tourism is a source for recreation and help the local people to earn a living for themselves and for their family, it also a best source to generate a handsome annual revenue for the government funds as well. For example, tourists visit the best places of the world, in travelling and entering of tourists in one country causes benefits for the government.
In conclusion, I would say that tourism is a best way to promote local talent, causing eco-friendly trips and it also help government to earn profits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear position—“I completely agree”—and give relevant reasons involving local employment, environmental responsibility and government revenue. The camping example helps illustrate responsible behaviour, but the other points are mostly asserted rather than explained: the link between tourism and government funds, for instance, needs a clearer account of how revenue is generated. The response therefore addresses the question only partially, with ideas that remain limited and under-developed. It also shifts at times from eco-tourism specifically to tourism in general, so the discussion does not consistently focus on the trend in the prompt. The response is 244 words, six words below the 250-word minimum; develop the reasons and examples further to meet the requirement and support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. The ideas are generally grouped by topic, and linking expressions such as “For instance,” “Although” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The second body paragraph begins with a contrast using “Although,” but does not develop a contrasting point, and the example about tourists visiting places does not clearly explain the preceding claim about government revenue. Some connections are also repetitive or awkward, such as repeated references to “the area” and “tourists.” Give each paragraph one main point, explain it in a logical sequence, and use referencing and transitions that make the links between claims and examples explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourism industry,” “local community,” “environment” and “revenue,” and the reader can generally understand your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the message less clear. Examples include “worry for the environment,” “environment friendly visitors,” “a source to generate revenue” and “a handsome annual revenue.” There are also spelling errors such as “hadicrafts,” alongside repeated general words such as “tourism,” “people” and “area.” Build a more precise set of expressions for sustainable travel, local employment and public income, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the clause beginning “Although tourism is a source for recreation” and the example introduced by “while.” However, the range remains limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “worry for the environment is increasing” has an incorrect verb form, while “it also a best source” is missing a verb and uses an incomplete structure. Agreement and sentence construction are also problematic in “it also help government,” and punctuation and spacing are inconsistent. Practise forming accurate subject–verb patterns and complete clauses before adding complexity. Then proofread for articles, verb forms and sentence boundaries so your ideas are expressed more reliably.
