Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You take a clear position, calling eco-tourism “a beneficial trend,” and give two relevant reasons: environmental conservation and support for local economies. The examples of conservation projects, employment, accommodation and local food show an understanding of the topic. However, the response addresses the question only partially: it does not explain the extent of your support in much detail, and both main points are asserted rather than fully developed with specific examples or explanation. The conclusion is also absent, so your overall judgement is not brought together. The response is 101 words below the required minimum, which leaves too little space to develop the argument. Extend each reason with a concrete example and explain how it demonstrates that the trend is positive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction is followed by separate paragraphs on environmental benefits and local economies. Phrases such as “Furthermore” and “Another significant advantage” help signal the relationship between points, and the ideas within each body paragraph are generally relevant to its topic. However, the progression is limited because the response ends without a concluding paragraph, and the points are not developed into a fuller line of argument. Some linking is mechanical, particularly “To initial with,” while the opening sentence is difficult to follow and weakens the transition into your position. Use a clear topic sentence for each paragraph, connect each claim to its explanation or example, and finish by restating your judgement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “deforestation,” “natural resources,” “conservation projects,” “endangered species,” and “employment opportunities.” This gives the response enough range to communicate its main ideas, and several choices are appropriate to an environmental essay. However, inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the writing less natural: “getting broaden,” “pereserve,” “a accomodation,” and “natural attractioms.” Phrases such as “natural authentic things” are also unclear. Aim for precise, conventional combinations, such as “protect natural habitats” and “local attractions,” and proofread spelling and word forms. More varied vocabulary for evaluating benefits would also help you explain your position with greater precision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a cause-and-effect opening and the clause “helping to preserve endangered species and natural habitats.” Most of your meaning can be understood, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms recur. For example, “due to environment is getting attention” uses an unsuitable structure after “due to,” and “this is a beneficial trend which will helps” has an incorrect verb form. The opening also begins “as a consequence” with a lowercase letter after a full stop, and “by focusing on environment can reduce” lacks a clear grammatical subject. Practise building complete clauses, using articles and verb forms accurately, and checking sentence boundaries. These improvements would make your argument easier to follow.
