Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you believe the growth of eco-tourism is positive, and you give relevant reasons, including reduced plastic use and lower pollution through public transport. The reference to a reported 70 percent reduction also attempts to support your argument. However, the response addresses the task only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained: for example, the claim that eco-tourism is “healthy even mentally” is not clarified, and the link between public transport and “class differentiation” is unclear. The conclusion repeats the main view but does not add a developed final insight. The response is 38 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each reason with a clear explanation or specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within the body paragraphs is uneven: the second paragraph moves from transport and pollution to cost and class differentiation, then to an unsupported research claim. The sentence ending “upcoming” is incomplete, which interrupts the flow, and the research statement appears separated from the preceding point rather than integrated into a clear paragraph. Some linking expressions feel mechanical, while relationships between ideas are not always explicit. Group related points together, use clearer references to connect evidence to claims, and ensure each paragraph develops one main idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt topic-appropriate vocabulary, including “eco-friendly,” “reduction in pollution,” “public transport,” and “longterm benefits.” These choices show an effort to discuss environmental issues beyond very basic terms. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors reduce precision, such as “safe the environment” for protecting it, “profited by thus approach,” and “highly contetious.” There are also inconsistent forms and spellings, including “envionment,” “belive,” and “travell,” which make the writing less polished. Some phrases, such as “acting responsible citizens,” are not expressed naturally. Build a bank of accurate environmental collocations and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your meaning clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, including “Avoiding the use of personal cars and opting public transport that results in reduction in pollution…” and a sentence beginning “Research studies shows…”. However, complex sentences are often incomplete or inaccurately formed. The transport sentence lacks a clear main clause, and “Research studies shows” has a subject–verb agreement error. Other examples include “Environment is being affected” and “travelling have considerable longterm benefits,” where articles or agreement are missing or incorrect. The final body paragraph also ends with the unfinished phrase “upcoming,” leaving the sentence incomplete. Practise building complete sentences around one main clause, then check agreement, articles and punctuation. Greater control of these patterns would make your argument easier to follow.
