Student answer (Band 5.5)

while the awareness of environment protection is growing, the majority of people are concerned to be eco-tourists and treats the environment in a friendly ways. In my point of view this trend is positively affect the environment and has a positive impact on the individuals themselves.

in the beginning, some people nowadays concern about the environment(eco-tourists)and try to conserve the wildlife in a positive ways.To explain, when people try to save the ecological balance, it will return many benefits to society. For example, Siwa in egypt become a chosen place for the sustainable tourism because it is popular with its attractive nature. Therefore, eco-tourists can assist in the creation a new kind of tourism to a new places.

In addition, eco-tourism enhance the development of the character of individuals, and has numerous advantages such as it encourages other individuals to wildlife conservation especially the endangered species, gives the chance for tourists to explore new traditions, and creates new opportunities in small cities. the individuals who like the eco tourism are those want to live in the quite places away from the pollution presents in large cities.

In conclusion, there are many advantages of the new trend of eco tourists that will refere to society as all and can help in the progress of poor cities. I reiterate my opnion the positive effect of eco tourism can not be ignored and all countries should enhance that way of tourism to enhance more and more people to be friendly and care about the environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and you give relevant reasons, including wildlife conservation, opportunities for smaller communities, and benefits for visitors. The example of Siwa in Egypt also helps connect the argument to a real place. However, the response addresses the question only partially because several points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that eco-tourism “enhance the development of the character” is not clarified, and the benefits to society and poor cities are not supported with specific outcomes. Develop fewer ideas more fully by explaining how responsible tourism protects habitats or brings income to local residents, and maintain a clear explanation of why these effects make the trend positive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the ideas generally relate to the topic. Linking phrases such as “In addition” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first body paragraph moves from wildlife conservation to Siwa and then to creating “a new kind of tourism” without fully showing how the points connect. Some linking is mechanical, and references such as “that way of tourism” are not very precise. Organise each body paragraph around one main reason, then explain and illustrate it before moving on. Clearer links between claims and examples would make the overall argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourists,” “ecological balance,” “wildlife conservation,” “endangered species” and “sustainable tourism.” This gives the response enough vocabulary to communicate its main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which sometimes makes meaning less clear. Examples include “concerned to be eco-tourists,” “in a friendly ways,” and “progress of poor cities.” There are also spelling and form errors such as “opnion” and “refere.” Aim for more precise expressions and check that words naturally combine; for example, describe people as “concerned about protecting the environment” and say tourism can “support local economies.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence listing several benefits and a conditional structure beginning “when people try to save the ecological balance.” However, grammatical errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to process. Subject–verb agreement is inconsistent in “the majority of people … treats” and “eco-tourism enhance”; verb forms are also faulty in “this trend is positively affect.” Articles, plurals and sentence boundaries need attention, as in “the creation a new kind of tourism to a new places.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent, particularly at sentence beginnings and around parentheses. Practise building accurate basic clauses first, then add subordinate clauses and lists while checking agreement, articles and punctuation.
