Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a clear overall opinion in the conclusion, calling eco-tourism “a great trend,” and you attempt to support your view with a personal visit to Badshahi Mosque. However, the response only minimally addresses whether the industry’s expansion is positive: most of the discussion shifts to becoming a tourist guide, the knowledge required, and an incident where a guide disappeared. The story does not explain the environmental benefits or harms of responsible travel, and the claim that it brings “good money” is not developed. To strengthen the response, directly discuss relevant effects—such as protecting natural sites, supporting local communities, or risks from increased visitor numbers—and explain how these support your position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic overall shape: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “first of all,” and a concluding opinion. The personal story also provides one identifiable example. However, ideas are not arranged in a clear progression, and the response moves abruptly from travel aspirations to guide qualifications, a disappointing mosque visit, and general claims about friendly people. Linking expressions such as “overall” and “in conclusion” signal stages but do not clarify how the ideas connect; “overall” also appears before the conclusion. Several sentences run together, making relationships difficult to follow. Organise the essay around two or three reasons why eco-tourism is positive, use a separate paragraph for each, and connect each example explicitly to the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “eco-tourist,” “historical places,” “responsibility,” and “positive effects,” and the mosque example gives the response some specific language. However, the range is basic and often repetitive, with “people,” “tourism,” and “great” used broadly rather than precisely. Several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, including “ecoturist,” “requirment,” “buldings,” and “expended.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “made their dream true” and “good money in it.” Build a more precise vocabulary for the topic and check spelling and collocations; for example, describe tourism as “expanding” and explain its “economic benefits” or “environmental impact.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, and the reader can identify the main opinion. However, grammatical errors are frequent and sometimes obscure meaning. Examples include “it is becomes,” “some peoples make,” “if anyone have know,” and “tourism are expended,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. Articles and sentence boundaries are also often missing or inconsistent, as in “we also hire a eco-tourist for gets knowledge about mosque.” Most sentences need careful editing, and punctuation does not reliably separate complete ideas. Practise accurate simple sentence patterns first, then combine them with controlled clauses using “because,” “although,” or “which.”
