Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You take a generally positive position and give relevant reasons: eco-tourists may reduce harm to natural areas and bring income to local communities. The examples of collecting plastic, conserving water, and supporting hotels and traditional food help connect your ideas to the topic. You also acknowledge a drawback when too many visitors damage natural places and disturb animals. However, the response addresses the question only partially because the extent of your view is not stated precisely, and the disadvantage is mentioned briefly without explaining how it affects your overall judgement. Develop each reason with clearer cause-and-effect explanation and a specific example, then make your conclusion directly weigh the benefits against the risks.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two paragraphs presenting benefits, a paragraph on a drawback, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, progression between and within ideas is uneven: the first body paragraph combines tourism’s environmental harm with eco-tourists’ efforts to reduce it, while the second benefit is left unfinished. Some linking is mechanical or unclear, and the conclusion repeats earlier points rather than bringing the argument together. Use one clear main idea per paragraph, connect examples explicitly to that idea, and use reference words and transitions more precisely to make the reasoning easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “deforestation,” “pollution,” “traditional food,” and “employment,” which helps communicate the main subject. There are also attempts at relevant phrases such as “protect environment” and “future generation.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “eco-trourism,” “preserv,” “natuaral,” and “oppetunity.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “multitude positive effect” and “eco-friendly people.” Build accuracy by learning common collocations for tourism and conservation, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise terms such as “local residents” and “conservation efforts” would make the argument clearer and more academic.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response includes some clauses explaining reasons and examples. However, grammatical errors are frequent, and attempts at more complex sentences are often faulty. For instance, “some people concern for the environment is increasing” lacks a correct subject structure, while “eco-friendly people helps” has subject–verb disagreement. Articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent, as in “there are multitude positive effect” and “In conclusion,i think.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using patterns such as “because” and “when.” Check agreement, articles, and punctuation during revision.
