Student answer (Band 5.5)

As an individual, and a concerned citizen one of our responsibilities is to take care of our environment, because if not natural phenomenon would become a great disaster in the future.Have you not observe the scenario, that as years go by natural disasters such as flooding had became a national problem. It is such a breath of fresh air knowing that eco-tourism industry is expanding,it only shows that we are now aware of the consequences if we will not take good care of our environment, This is such a positive trend because if thiis would be the case in the succeeding years then a possibilty of natural disasters can be prevented, more over if our environment would be well taken care of,the future generation will still be able to see how beautiful our environment is.

In addition to that we should also be an advocate in being a responsible traveller like we should learn properly on how to dispose our and segregate our garbages, If we all become environment friendly then the possibility of building a more safer and beautiful community in the future is not an issue anymore.

Taking care of our environment is like preserving the beauty of the world not just for us but for the younger generations, Eco tourism is one of the best management in preserving our environment, We should start taking care of what god has given us, becasue as we all know if they are not taken cared of they bring disasters such as typhoon, flooding landslide and other inevitable phenomenons.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider the growth of eco-tourism positive, and you give relevant reasons, including protecting nature for future generations and encouraging responsible travel. The examples of waste disposal and natural disasters help connect the topic to everyday concerns. However, the discussion remains general and does not explain in detail how eco-tourism itself benefits the environment or local communities. For instance, the claim that it can prevent natural disasters needs qualification and a clearer explanation; responsible tourism may reduce environmental harm, but it cannot prevent disasters outright. Develop one or two reasons with specific examples and acknowledge any limitations to make the response more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has an identifiable overall structure: it introduces a positive view, adds a point about responsible travel, and ends by returning to preservation. Linking expressions such as “In addition to that” and “Taking care of our environment” signal these stages. However, progression between ideas is sometimes repetitive: the importance of protecting the environment and future generations is restated several times rather than advanced with new explanation. Some sentences also contain several ideas joined by commas, making relationships between claims less clear. Use clearer paragraph divisions and give each paragraph a distinct purpose—for example, environmental benefits followed by responsible traveller behaviour—and connect each claim to its supporting explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “eco-tourism,” “responsible traveller,” “environment friendly,” and “natural disasters,” so the reader can follow the main subject. There are also attempts at more expressive phrasing, such as “a breath of fresh air” and “preserving the beauty of the world.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “environment,” “taking care,” and “future,” and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, including “natural phenomenon” for disasters and “best management” for a tourism approach. Spelling slips such as “thiis,” “possibilty,” and “becasue” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise topic vocabulary and check spelling and natural word combinations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if we all become environment friendly” and clauses beginning with “because.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. Examples include “Have you not observe” and “flooding had became”; these need corrected verb forms. The opening also runs several clauses together, while commas and full stops are often missing or misplaced. Practise forming accurate complex sentences, then separate each complete idea with appropriate punctuation. More reliable control of these structures would make your argument clearer and easier to read.
