Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many people are worried about the rapidly growing environmental issues. As a result, majority of them are choosing eco-friendly ways of travelling. These are called eco-tourists and eco-tourism sector is observing a great expansion. I believe this is a positive development because it promotes sustainable economic growth and mitigate several environmental and health issues.
By choosing travelling through eco-friendly means of transport, the economy observes a huge growth in a sustainable way. In other words, people tend to travel by electric vehicles, including cycles, e-bikes, e-cars and e-buses which benefits their manufacturing industries, promoting the green economy. For instance, state authorities in developing countries, particularly in Pakistan have started an initiative of launching electric vehicles in every tourist attraction area such as in Murree and Naran Kaghan, which is why, the majority of population prefer to travel through these buses due to their lower cost and higher environmental benefits. As a result, eco-tourism industry has experienced a greater boost in promoting the green economy.
In addition, eco-tourism not only increases the green economy, it also helps in reducing the environmental problems. One major issue is the air pollution due to the combustion of fuel from vehicles running through petrol or diesel. The smoke released from such means of transportation involved in tourism has adverse effects on our environment and people' health. For example, the harmful gases which are collected in the atmosphere combine with the rain, resulting in acid rain, ultimately affecting the infrastructure, plants and animals. Another effect is respiratory diseases in humans and reduction of ozone layer due to carbon monooxide emitted through vehicles. Therefore, replacing vehicles depending on gasoline by electric means of transport would be able to mitigate all these environmental issues and health problems, promoting the sustainable lifestyle and overall well-being.
In conclusion, the trend of eco-tourism should be viewed as a positive development due to its positive impact on green economy and reduction of global issues, including health and environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider eco-tourism positive because it supports sustainable economic growth and reduces environmental and health problems. Both reasons are relevant, and the examples about electric transport in Murree and Naran Kaghan and the effects of vehicle emissions help support your argument. The response therefore addresses the task and gives a clear overall answer. However, the discussion focuses mainly on electric vehicles, so it does not fully explore other aspects of responsible tourism, such as protecting habitats or ensuring that local communities benefit. Some claims, including the link between eco-tourism and economic growth, would also benefit from more explanation of how the benefits reach residents. Developing these points more precisely would make the argument more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The essay is organised clearly, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. The progression from economic benefits to environmental and health benefits is easy to follow. Linking expressions such as “In addition,” “For instance,” and “As a result” help signal relationships between ideas, and the examples are placed in relevant paragraphs. At times, however, the connections are somewhat mechanical or repetitive: “As a result” appears more than once, and the final sentence of the first body paragraph largely repeats the point about promoting the green economy. Some references, such as “these buses,” could be made more explicit. Varying transitions and using clearer referencing would make the cohesion more flexible.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.5
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “sustainable economic growth,” “electric vehicles,” “air pollution,” “acid rain,” and “respiratory diseases.” These choices communicate the main ideas and show an attempt to use less common environmental terms. Some word choices and collocations are not fully natural, however: “the economy observes a huge growth,” “travelling through eco-friendly means,” and “a greater boost in promoting” sound awkward. There are also spelling and word-form slips, including “carbon monooxide” and “people' health.” These do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision and naturalness. Aim for established combinations such as “the economy experiences growth,” “travel by eco-friendly means,” and “people’s health,” and check technical terms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5
You attempt a useful mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “resulting in.” Most of the argument remains understandable, and some longer sentences successfully connect causes and effects. There are nevertheless some errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “the majority of them are choosing” needs an article before “majority,” while “which benefits their manufacturing industries” does not agree with the plural list of transport types. In the thesis, “it promotes … and mitigate” should use parallel verb forms. The long sentence beginning “For instance, state authorities…” also becomes difficult to manage. Review agreement and parallel structures, and divide overloaded sentences so that complex ideas remain controlled.
