IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The diagram below shows a town square and surrounding area in 2014 and the plans for development of the area to be completed by 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The diagram illustrates a town square in 2014 which is going to be renovated by 2020.
The town square going to be hugely developed specially in the middle where the fountain is built .Most things are going to be significantly changed without the fountain and town hall.
The library and fish restaurants will be taken down with parts of administrative buildings and bars and restaurants are going to be open whares a bar pre exist. in the other part of administrative buildings there going to be shops. Where the history museum is situated there going to be local artists gallery. In the fish market there going to be a supermarket.
In the middle the bandstand will be removed. above the fountain two plant beds going to be planted. Below the fountain there going to be sitting area which will be covered. and one side of the fountain there will be children playground.
