The construction of a children's playground and a local artists' gallery will be a huge attraction for children and young people.
The new town square has also maintained some vital buildings in its new look. Despite the fact that the administrative buildings have been done away with, the town hall has been maintained. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of the development plan, such as the addition of shops, a playground, and a gallery, as well as the removal of certain buildings. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific comparisons between the 2014 and 2020 layouts, such as the exact location of new structures relative to existing ones. The description of the 'administrative buildings' being removed is a good observation, but the report lacks a clear, data-driven overview of the spatial transformation. Ensure you focus on reporting the visual information objectively rather than using subjective language like 'beautiful its appearance' or 'serene look'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In addition' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical. The progression of information is generally clear, moving from an overview to specific additions and then to the status of existing buildings. To improve, try to vary your linking phrases and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more fluid. The paragraphing is appropriate, which helps the reader follow the development of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'environs', 'amenities', and 'predecessor'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'beautiful its appearance' is grammatically incorrect (should be 'beautify') and 'talent supporting structures' is an unnatural way to describe a gallery or playground. The vocabulary is sufficient to convey the main points, but it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. Focus on using more precise academic collocations when describing urban development.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While most of your sentences are clear, there are some grammatical slips, such as 'The plant beds on the other hand will beautiful its appearance' and 'administrative buildings have been done away with'. The latter is a bit informal for an academic report. Your control of punctuation is generally good, and errors do not impede communication. To improve, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex grammatical structures, such as passive voice constructions or relative clauses, with greater accuracy.
