Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have successfully identified the main features of the town square development, such as the replacement of the fish market with a supermarket and the conversion of the museum into a shop. You provided a clear overview of the modernization and commercialization of the area. However, the response is incomplete; the final sentence is cut off mid-thought ('To accommodation more visitors, the main ring road replace With designed underground pa'), which prevents a full description of the final development features. To reach a higher band, ensure all points are fully articulated and the conclusion is complete.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression from the 2014 layout to the 2020 changes. You use some cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'While', and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally disrupted by punctuation errors, such as the fragmented sentence structure in the second paragraph ('While the town hall and library remains there original location. the history museums was converted...'). Improving the use of punctuation and ensuring that cohesive devices are used to connect complete thoughts would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'modernization', 'commercialization', 'repurposed', and 'administrative building'. There are, however, several spelling errors ('illustarte', 'mharket', 'loc') and word choice issues ('the layout the changed considered'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are noticeable. To improve, focus on proofreading for spelling and ensuring that collocations are accurate, such as using 'local restaurant' instead of 'loc restaurant'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('the history museums was converted', 'the town hall and library remains') and incorrect word forms ('the layout the changed considered'). Additionally, the incomplete final sentence demonstrates a lack of control over sentence structure. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors limits the score. Focus on subject-verb agreement and ensuring every sentence has a clear subject, verb, and object.
