The diagram below shows a town square and surrounding area in 2014 and the plans for development of the area to be completed by 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The given diagram illustrates the information about a town square and the surrounding area in 2014 and the construction plans complete in 2020 , looking for an overall perspective, it is evident that the plans are developed more by adding new places such as ( plants bed , covered seating, fountain, children's playground

To commence with, in 2014 the structure of plans are very simple the place where the fish market was located in 2014 changed in supermarket , Furthermore the history museum that was located in the top left corner which is replaced into local artists gallery, However the only two thing the remain the same is town hall and fountain , in the center of the plans area the fountain remain same and the children's playground and covered seating was added

In contrast, the plants beds also farming in the plans area so in the bottom the fish restaurant and bar were demolished and the empty space divided in blocks and the other place where the administration was located in 2014 changed into shops in 2020
