The diagram below shows a town square and surrounding area in 2014 and the plans for development of the area to be completed by 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
These two blueprints of a town shows the layout of the town square and surrounding area in 2014 together with the proposed changes done in 2020.
In 2014 fish market was in the north west corener along with the townhall was in the north east corner, History museum was in the west side of the townhall and down below there is a libray, at south west there is a fish restaurant along with the bar at the south ear corner at the center of the townhall there is a fountain and below townhall at north east corner there is a bus stand and at the east side there is adminstrative buildings.
By 2020 fish market was replaced by supernarket, history museum was replaced by art gallery, bus stand area was replaced by plant beds near the fountai area coverd seatings and children's playground were made and at the east in place of adminstrative buildings shops were made.
Overall, the town square is planned to undergo considerable redevelopment. Several existing facilities were changes and modern facilities were made in the replacement of those facilities but fountail and townhall were are at there same place.
