The diagram below shows a town square and surrounding area in 2014 and the plans for development of the area to be completed by 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The digram decipts a square shaped town and surrounding area in 2014 and the proposal of modification of the area to be completed by 2020.

Overall, there was many different changes between 2014 and 2020 in town quare and its surrounding area. Many new infrastucture has been constructed ,many has been replaced. there was also development in the facilites.

Initially in 2014 there are few places in town square and in surrounding area like fish market and town hall was in the northern side. administrative building was in the eastern side in 2014. Similarly, history meseum and library were in the western side furthermore, fish restaurant and bar in the southern side. fountain and bandstand was in the middle of the town sqaure.

At the remaning part, in 2020 fish market was replaced by supermarket but town hall is as it was. History museum and library was demolished instead of this local artists gallery has been constructed. In the eastern side administrative buildings were changed with shops. likewise, bar and restaurants were added instead of fish restaurant and bar in southern side. in the middle of the town square in 2020 the fountain was as it was but covered seating and children's playground were new thing that was added with plantrs beds .
