IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The diagram below shows a town square and surrounding area in 2014 and the plans for development of the area to be completed by 2020. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

There are two maps in the picture. Both these map show the difference between town square surrounding. In the first map I see before development of the area. In second map I see plan foe the development of that area.

On the top left corner of the map there is a fish market. But the development map show there is a super market instead of fish market. The town hall remain same in both two maps in the top right corner. The maps show that there is a fountain at the center of the town square.

In the right side of the map there is administrative buldings but the plan in second map show that they made shops there. In the left corner there is history museum but they had plan to made local artists gallery.

In the front of the bar and fish restaurant there is a free space but the development of the map show that they made covered seating and children's playground.
