Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several important changes, including the fish market becoming a supermarket, the town hall remaining, and the administrative buildings being removed. You also mention new facilities such as the playground and covered seating. However, the overview is unclear: “various shops were opened” and “think about environment too” do not accurately summarise the main pattern of redevelopment. Some details are misreported or imprecise: the museum became a gallery, but the library is not said to have changed; the new plant beds are in the northern part, not simply “in the centre”; and the southern buildings became bars and restaurants rather than shops. A clearer overview and more accurate selection of key changes would make the report more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic sequence, moving from the northern buildings to the centre, west and east, and it uses linking expressions such as “whereas,” “Moreover” and “Apart from that.” These help signal comparisons, but the progression is not consistently clear. The opening overview is difficult to interpret, and the paragraphing does not clearly separate the overall changes from the detailed comparisons. Some links are awkward or repetitive, including “To conclude that” and “along with that,” while the long sentence beginning “The interesting point…” combines several features without clear relationships. Organise the response into a concise overview followed by grouped details, and use simpler, more precise transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant map vocabulary, including “north east side,” “town hall,” “playground” and “covered seat,” so the reader can identify several features. However, the range is limited and there are frequent spelling and word-choice problems that sometimes make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “shopes,” “acomplished,” “mutltitudes,” “interstingpoint” and “adimistrative.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “drastic changes seen” and “think about environment too” do not clearly describe the redevelopment, while “minor changes” understates the number of new facilities. Practise accurate spelling of map labels and use specific terms such as “replaced,” “converted into” and “new facilities” to report changes precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to form comparisons and longer sentences, for example, “the fish market … but in the 2020 they change into supermarket, whereas the town hall … were same.” However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, tense, articles and sentence construction can make the meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “The diagram illustrate” needs subject–verb agreement, and “there was a drastic changes” has an incorrect verb and plural form. The sentence beginning “The interesting point was is that” also has an unstable structure. Use consistent past and future forms for the two maps, check singular/plural agreement, and build each comparison as a complete, controlled sentence.
