Student answer (Band 4.0)
These days, Concern for the environment is growing and more and more people are choosing to recycle has become a popular topic of discussion. Some people believe that recycle is not enough . In my opinion, I completely agree with this view because choosing to recycle and they believe to consume less .
To begin with, the main reason for my opinion is that more or more people are choosing to recycle. This means that the recycle of these things is very important know that the recycle is best option of everything recycle is to clean for all things and use again for these things . For example, The bottle through the dustbin and can recycle the factory and use again and drink water for this bottle . As a result, This bottle again for use the recycle .
On the other hand, another important point is that some people suggest that recycle is not enough. In other words, some people can believe that the recycle is not enough. The recycle for these things use again and didn't better the life . The recycle of these things is very dangerous for this life . For instance, The bottle was recycle and use again for the bottle. Therefore, the recycle of the bottle that doesn't better the health .
In conclusion, I firmly believe that The products in recycle for use again and don't use many things . This is mainly because it helps in the price is very low and better than the before recycle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
You state a position—“I completely agree”—and include an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. However, the response does not adequately discuss both views: the first body paragraph mainly repeats that recycling is important, while the second repeats that it is insufficient without explaining why consuming less would help. The bottle examples are relevant but unclear and do not develop the argument; the conclusion introduces lower prices without establishing this point. The response is also 10 words below the 250-word minimum; 15 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. To strengthen the response, explain the benefits and limits of recycling, develop the case for reducing consumption, and support your opinion with clear, relevant reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable overall structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the intended stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: several sentences repeat the same point, such as “the recycle is not enough,” without adding a connected explanation. References such as “these things” and “this bottle” are often unclear, and the example about a bottle moves between disposal, recycling and reuse without a clear sequence. The conclusion also introduces price abruptly. Organise each paragraph around one distinct claim, then explain it and connect a specific example to it.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
You use a small set of topic-related words, including “environment,” “recycle,” “bottle,” “factory” and “health,” so the general subject is identifiable. However, vocabulary is basic and highly repetitive, especially the repeated forms of “recycle” and “things.” Several choices or combinations are unclear, including “the recycle of these things,” “clean for all things” and “better the life,” which make it difficult to understand the intended meaning. More precise topic vocabulary would help you distinguish recycling from reducing consumption and explain their effects. Practise useful phrases such as “recycling materials,” “reduce household waste” and “consume fewer products,” and check that each word fits naturally in its sentence.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt a few different sentence forms, including a reason clause (“because…”) and an example introduced by “For example,” and the overall meaning can sometimes be followed. However, control is inconsistent, and many sentences contain errors in sentence construction, articles, verb forms or punctuation. For instance, “Some people believe that recycle is not enough” lacks a grammatical form after “that,” while “The bottle through the dustbin and can recycle the factory” does not form a complete, clear sentence. The opening also joins ideas awkwardly, and capitalisation after commas is inconsistent. Build accurate simple sentences first, then practise joining them with “because,” “although” and “so that”; proofread each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
