Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nature gives lot of precious things to us for peacefull survival. concern of the environment is increasing and more and more masses are choosing to recycle. But few people suggest that recycling is not enough. They think we need to consume less. I shall discuss both views about it and give my opinion in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, nowadays lot of individuals are protecting nature from harmfull things like plastic, bad air etc because these type of things [scribbled out] give serious damage to the nature. Although, in previous time the world was aware from it but in modern days people create teams which collect the waste from roads, waterbodies and from accomodations, and recyle it which helps the nature to get recover.
On the other hand, rest of the people believe that recycling is not enough for it because lot of nations are suffering from the water, land and airpollution, moreover, these problems make bad impacts of country on worldwide. To solve these problems recycle is not enough, masses should consume less things and reduce the use of plastic, plastic bags and other materials which harms the nature.
In my opinion, the recycle method is best for revive the nature because the production of plastic are increasing day by day, people use it once and throw it wherever they want. So, the masses should use less harmfull things and recycle the waste, it is benificial for their present and future life.
To the conclusion, mothernature provide lot of good things to us like shelter, fruits, oxygen and beauty etc. so, it is our responsibility to take care of it and regain it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views regarding recycling and consumption, and provides a personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments are somewhat repetitive, and the explanation of why consumption needs to be reduced is not fully explored. The opinion provided in the fourth paragraph is slightly contradictory, as it suggests recycling is the 'best' method while also advocating for reduced consumption. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples and ensure your arguments are logically consistent and fully extended.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, 'To commence with' and 'To the conclusion' are used in a way that feels unnatural. There is also a lack of variety in linking words, and some transitions between sentences are abrupt. The progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by these issues, making the flow feel disjointed at times.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'peacefull survival', 'bad air', and 'regain it' (when referring to nature). The range of vocabulary is limited, and the essay relies on simple, everyday language. To improve, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to environmental issues and aim for more precise terminology to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include incorrect article usage ('the recycle method'), subject-verb agreement ('the production of plastic are'), and punctuation errors. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic errors and practicing complex sentence structures would be beneficial.
