Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is undeniable that ways to conservation of environment has become widely discussed issue in recent years. Some believe that reycling is the ultimate solution, others argue that less consuming can make great impcat rather than reclying for preserving ecosystem. This essay will critically examine the dual perspectives and present a well reasoned a position. From my perspectives, i consider recycling is a better option.
Proponents believe that recylcing can deminish the extraction of new resources of planet like fuel, timber etectra. Reclying is a process of adding values to a used product so that it can be reused. In todays world reclying is now very popular, as companies no need to make new products. Industries provide emphasis on collection of old products and adding extra value to it. Suppose people change the encient furniture after a specific periods of time, if theses furnitures are collected and modified according to modern trends, there will be a high resell value as well as no need to cut down the existing trees. Another burning issue is plastic as it do not decompose in thousand years. So only way to solve the issue is plastic recyling. Moreover citizens can earn some extra income by selling the used products to comapnies.
Opponents believe that in this capitalistic world, main moto is earn and consume. Industries make new products , people travel more and the ultimate result is excessive natural resources exploitation. If people modify their life style that can a make big difference.
In my opinion, reclying has more advantages over less consuming. Less consuming attitude can make a negetive impacts on overall economic activites as people are motivated to use less products. On the other hand recycling ensures the economic activity continuation by converting old ones to a brand new products. both reclying and less conumption require a balanced approach for sustainable development.
In conclusion, both views are valid but the recycle is ultimately more convincing for environment conservation as it provides sustainable long term solutions when cosidered logically.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the importance of recycling and the argument for reduced consumption. You maintain a clear position throughout, favouring recycling. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the recycling argument is supported with examples like furniture and plastic, the argument for reduced consumption is underdeveloped and lacks specific examples. To reach a higher band, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal depth and that your own opinion is integrated more seamlessly into the body paragraphs rather than just the introduction and conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by mechanical phrasing and some awkward transitions between sentences. For instance, the transition between the discussion of furniture and plastic is abrupt. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and more cohesive.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'ecosystem', 'sustainable development', and 'capitalistic'. However, there are several spelling errors ('reycling', 'deminish', 'etectra', 'comapnies') and some word choice inaccuracies ('less consuming' instead of 'reduced consumption', 'main moto' instead of 'primary motive'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit your score. To improve, focus on proofreading for spelling and refining your use of collocations to sound more natural and precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is a positive step. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('plastic as it do not decompose', 'companies no need to make') and missing articles ('the ultimate solution', 'the environment'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors rarely prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 6.0 range. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve accuracy.
