Student answer (Band 4.0)
Today I would like to talk about how the environment is growing more and choosing to recycle. And some people suggest that recycling is not enough.
First I would like to talk about recycling who people ask for recycling and a growing environment. This is right because everywhere in the world this happened.First we use the things and then we throw in the dustbin. And then person picked recycle things and take to the factory and then clean it wast it give it to the original position and then recycle it.This is very common and not even issue for the recycling.
And now I would like to talk about a person who says recycling is not enough.I thought recycling is enough if we take care of dirt and don't use any chemicals. But again if they says recycling is not enough so they are fools and they have own opinions own expectations we cant do anything we only tell him ask him and next they have own mind.If they don't like recycling so they don't use recycling things who force him to use recycle things. That type of people only have trust issue they are overthinking person only.
Now I would like to talk about my opinion. I think there is no big issue to use recycle things. If the workers take care of dirt if they first clean the recycle things and don't use any dangerous chemicals. So there are no big issues to use the recycle things its normal thing. This is my opinion but everyone have own mind own opinion.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response addresses the prompt only partially. While it mentions both recycling and the idea of consuming less, the discussion is superficial and lacks logical development. The student fails to explain the arguments for consuming less, instead dismissing those who hold that view as 'fools' and 'overthinking'. This approach does not meet the requirement to 'discuss' the views in an academic manner. The position is stated, but it is not supported by relevant examples or logical reasoning. The content is repetitive and lacks the depth required for an IELTS Task 2 essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. The progression of ideas is disjointed, and the use of cohesive devices is mechanical and often inappropriate (e.g., 'And now I would like to talk about...'). There is a lack of logical flow between sentences, making the argument difficult to follow. Referencing is often unclear, and the transition between the two viewpoints is abrupt and lacks the necessary linking phrases to guide the reader through a balanced discussion.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. The student relies on basic, everyday language (e.g., 'things', 'dirt', 'clean', 'big issue') and struggles to express more complex ideas related to environmental sustainability. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'growing environment' and 'recycle things' (instead of 'recycled materials'). The lack of precise terminology prevents the student from conveying their points effectively, keeping the range at a basic level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The response consists primarily of simple sentence structures with frequent grammatical errors. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'everyone have own mind'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with many sentences lacking proper structure or clarity. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors and the lack of complex sentence structures significantly limit the score. The writing lacks the control required for higher bands.
