Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often argued that concern for the environmental is leading and more and more individuals are choosing to recycle, which others beleive that several people suggest that recycling is not sufficient.Although both perspective have some merit, I am more convinced by the view that recycyling is not enough to cure the environment because only one thing cannot control properly to save the environment.
On the one hand, there are several reasons why some residents support the idea that more people are choosing to recycle. The primary argument is that recycling is the best way to protect the environment from pollution. This is largely because plasic are non biodegradable waste it cannot mix with mud on the land so it creates lots of pollution in the environment. For instance, many citizens threw bottles of soft drinks and water bottle on the road instead of dustbin.
On the other hand , others argue that recycling is not enough and I find this perspective more convincing. One major reason is that only recycle may not preserve nature . In other words majority of people use their own vehicles it can cause damage to the environment. Another reason is that large companies may sometime harm nature by manufacturing some products .
In conclusion, while there are valid arguments in favour of more people are choosing to recycle. The advantages of recycling is not enough are more compelling. In my view recycle is not enough because many other reasons which can harm our environment such as using of vehicles , it creates pollution.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the importance of recycling and the argument for consuming less. However, the development of ideas is limited. For example, the argument regarding 'large companies' is mentioned but not explained or linked back to the core concept of consumption. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples. The essay tends to over-generalize, such as stating that 'only recycle may not preserve nature' without providing a nuanced explanation of why consumption reduction is a more effective strategy. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed reasoning and concrete examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'which others beleive that' in the introduction is grammatically incorrect and disrupts the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the conclusion where the phrase 'The advantages of recycling is not enough' is confusingly phrased. While there is a logical progression from the introduction to the body paragraphs, the lack of sophisticated linking words makes the transition between ideas feel somewhat disjointed. Improving the variety and accuracy of your cohesive devices would significantly enhance the readability of your work.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The range of vocabulary is limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'environment', 'pollution', and 'nature'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'environmental is leading' instead of 'environmental concern is growing' and 'cure the environment' instead of 'protect the environment'. Spelling errors, such as 'beleive', 'recycyling', and 'plasic', are present and occasionally distract the reader. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to environmental issues, such as 'sustainability', 'resource depletion', or 'carbon footprint', and ensure you are using words in their correct collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'which others beleive that several people suggest' and 'only recycle may not preserve nature'. There are frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, such as 'The advantages of recycling is not enough' and 'many citizens threw bottles... instead of dustbin'. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb agreement, then gradually introduce more complex structures like relative clauses or conditional sentences with greater accuracy.
