Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address both views, but the ideas are significantly underdeveloped and often unclear. While you state your position, the supporting arguments are fragmented and lack logical development. For example, the explanation regarding 'economic loop' and 'cultural diversity' is vague and does not directly relate to the prompt's core debate about recycling versus consumption. The arguments are difficult to follow, and the connection between the points provided and the topic of environmental sustainability is tenuous. To improve, you must ensure that each paragraph focuses on a clear, relevant argument supported by specific, logical examples rather than abstract or disconnected concepts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the internal structure is weak. The use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused, such as 'One the one hand why some masses favor the former statement'. The progression of ideas is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. Referencing is often ambiguous, and the transition between the two viewpoints is not smooth. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using linking words more naturally and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a cohesive argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and often used inaccurately. Phrases like 'several masses', 'environment things', and 'root symptom' are either unnatural or incorrect in this context. There is a reliance on basic vocabulary, and attempts to use more complex terms often result in errors that impede clarity. For instance, 'diminish with the help of public expenditures awareness' does not convey a clear meaning. You need to focus on learning collocations and using words in their correct context to improve precision and clarity in your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often cause difficulty for the reader. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, sentence fragments, and incorrect word order (e.g., 'which is use from the recycling things which is exactly a enormous impact'). The range of structures is limited, and even simple sentences often contain errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, which further affects the readability of the text. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring subjects and verbs agree, and proofreading for common errors like missing articles or incorrect verb forms.
