Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both views regarding recycling and consumption. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial and repetitive. While you mention the benefits of recycling and the logic behind consuming less, the arguments lack depth and specific, well-integrated examples. Your own opinion is not clearly stated or consistently maintained throughout the essay; it is only briefly alluded to in the conclusion. To improve, ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your personal stance is explicitly stated in the introduction and reinforced in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is often hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical use of cohesive devices. Phrases like 'Initating with points' and 'moving further ahead' are unnatural and do not effectively guide the reader through your argument. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the flow of your logic. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') more naturally and ensure that each sentence builds logically upon the previous one.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms like 'good', 'things', and 'help'. There are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation, such as 'recycling need to consume less' and 'recycling is help to protect and safe environment'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should work on expanding your vocabulary related to environmental issues and consumption, and practice using these words in their correct grammatical context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'recycling allow', 'every new product require'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, which disrupts the flow. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that sentences are complete thoughts. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms is essential.
