Student answer (Band 5.0)
The environment growing is now day big concern and challenge and lot of people preferring to recycle items. But there is also some people against them to recycling the things but should used less while both idea is good but recycling is good approach for the environment growing.
Now days environment growing become big hurdle to control things people are generally using most and not preferring less so that became huge problems in these modern era people are using different kinds of goods which might could be anything like electronic gadgets , mechanical items , there is several other things etc. for instant people just them like tissue and then spare it which cause environment problems like rise different health issues ozone layer damage which cause air pollution overall it give negative impact on health and society as well as atmosphere but people still prefer recycling the items which should be able to reused them and by that way which may not lead heath issues and environmental problems but some people gives vote to used less to produce less which also the good things by that way to overcome health challenges and environmental disaster in future both thinking is good way but recycling is far best techniques because lots of industries they not used new material to produce new items but will also used waste materials so the waste will not cause health issues and environment problems in conclusion both people thinking broadly to overcome environment problem with good approach.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views—recycling and consuming less—but the development is weak. The arguments are repetitive and lack specific examples or logical depth. For instance, the discussion on 'electronic gadgets' and 'tissue' is vague and does not clearly explain how these relate to the broader debate of consumption versus recycling. The position is stated, but the reasoning is circular, often stating that both ideas are 'good' without providing a nuanced analysis. The response meets the minimum length requirement, but the ideas are not sufficiently extended or supported to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks clear paragraphing, appearing as two long, dense blocks of text. There is a lack of logical progression; ideas are often strung together with 'and' or 'but' rather than sophisticated cohesive devices. Referencing is frequently unclear, such as in the phrase 'there is several other things etc.', which makes the flow of information disjointed. While there is an attempt to use transition words like 'in conclusion' and 'for instant' (intended as 'for instance'), the overall structure is mechanical and does not guide the reader effectively through the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which frequently impedes communication. There is significant misuse of collocations and word forms, such as 'environment growing' instead of 'environmental concerns' and 'spare it' instead of 'dispose of it'. The student relies on basic, repetitive vocabulary and struggles to express complex ideas precisely. Phrases like 'gives vote to used less' are non-standard and hinder the clarity of the argument. To improve, the student needs to focus on learning word families and standard collocations related to environmental topics.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often obscure meaning. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some people gives vote'), tense consistency, and sentence structure. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as 'there is also some people against them to recycling the things but should used less'. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple or poorly constructed complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing commas and incorrect capitalization, which further complicates the reading process.
