Student answer (Band 5.0)
The surrounding is increasing day by day and people are choosing to recycle while some people says that using again things is not enough we also need to use relevant and save the environment. it is such type of debate for place.
I strongly believe that recycle is not enough as everything is not consumed again there are limited things which are used daily but other things which are not recycled are wasted so we should need to use less things.
One of the main reason for the more consumption is people many times don't use such things again which are used to be and go to recycle they just throw in garbage such as the plastic or glass bottles are recycled should kept in proper place and few people also throw the things without any reason when it is mor for them, it is necessary to save it and not just throw it.
As there is a other side also where things are getting recycled is not enough, as we have to make sure don't use unnecessary material. people should not compromise in things but also can be alert what are they for environment. we know the things are upgrading day by day i will prefer to use more biodegradable source for an example the plastic bag are not consumed in land and can't do anything of this so in that type of case we should use the paper bags to save the environment the another solution is to not fire fire any things without reason so there will decrease in air pollution the AQI will also decreases.
Overall, from my perspective people should use less as much as possible, as we can't have idea about future limitations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument—recycling versus consuming less—and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is limited. The arguments are often repetitive and lack specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the discussion on 'plastic bags' and 'paper bags' is a good start, but it is not fully integrated into a cohesive argument about consumption habits. The introduction is quite vague, failing to clearly paraphrase the prompt, and the conclusion is very brief. To improve, you should focus on expanding each point with logical reasoning and concrete evidence rather than repeating the same general statements about saving the environment.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is weak. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link sentences and paragraphs effectively. Many sentences feel disconnected, such as the transition between the discussion of recycling and the suggestion to use paper bags. The use of referencing is often unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'on the other hand') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that guides the reader through your argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'things' and 'use', which restricts the precision of your writing. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'the surrounding is increasing' (which is unclear) and 'fire any things' (which is likely a misuse of 'burn'). While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of variety and the occasional misuse of words prevent a higher score. To improve, try to learn synonyms for common words and focus on using more precise terminology related to environmental issues, such as 'sustainability', 'waste management', and 'resource depletion'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'some people says'), sentence structure (e.g., run-on sentences), and article usage. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with some attempts at complex ones that are often grammatically incorrect. For example, 'it is such type of debate for place' is syntactically confusing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, and practicing the correct use of punctuation to avoid run-on sentences. Proofreading for these fundamental errors is essential.
