Student answer (Band 5.5)

Recycling of material is increasing day by day as more people are consciuos about environment. But some suggest this propblem could not be just solved by recycling rather they believe it could be solve through less consumption. It is very essential to recycle material for better environment but we can do less consumption in some unnecessary things.

Firstly, concern about environment is growing day by day and as a responsible citizen everybody need to play a role of ethical citizen. Recycling is one of the greatest choice to promote green environment and reduce polution because ultimately it will allow all of us to have a better and healthy life. Moreover, it will also have significant impact on economic growth as we need to pay less in order to purchase things because of recycling process. Also wealth health organization provides sufficient guidelines to every nation to make their country environemnt friendly for sustained and balanced life.

On the otherhand, some argues that we cannot achieve this just by recycling process rather we have to make consumption less. I think it could be suitable in some cases, for example we can make less consumption for such things who are not necesary for us and who have potential drawback to affect the environment. For example, we need to spend less on plastic materials as it could lead to disturb the environment. Apart from it we can make our environment more green through some basic actions like by promoting planting in every sector and conduct seminars to teach everyone and encourage them to play their role actively.

In conclusion, recycling is one of the important aspect to make envrionment stable but we also need to pay attemtion to fulfill other task like promote planting, reduce consumption of plastic materials in order to make envoirnment more friendly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt regarding the role of recycling and the necessity of consuming less, while also presenting a clear opinion. The student's ideas are introduced, such as the economic impacts and the need to avoid unnecessary plastic materials. However, the development of these ideas remains somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the mention of the 'wealth health organization' is unclear and lacks proper support. The arguments tend to be general rather than fully extended with deep elaboration. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 6, as it addresses all parts of the task with relevant ideas, but some points are under-developed or unclear.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, dividing the introduction, two body paragraphs representing different views, and a conclusion. Transitional markers such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', 'On the otherhand', and 'In conclusion' are used to structure the text, though they can feel somewhat mechanical. Referencing and cohesive devices occasionally falter, such as the ambiguous phrasing in 'such things who are not necesary'. Paragraph progression is logical, moving from the benefits of recycling to the counter-argument for reduced consumption, earning a solid Band 6 for managing cohesion adequately despite some mechanical flaws.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common lexical items such as 'ethical citizen', 'green environment', and 'economic growth'. However, there are numerous spelling and word-choice inaccuracies throughout the text, including 'consciuos', 'propblem', 'polution', 'On the otherhand', and 'envoirnment'. These errors do not generally impede communication, as the reader can still understand the intended meaning, but they reflect the limitations characteristic of Band 5 or a weak Band 6. Because the vocabulary is sufficient for basic task execution despite noticeable errors, a Band 5.5 is appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures with relative clauses ('things who are not necesary') and conditional ideas. However, frequent grammatical errors and punctuation issues are present, including subject-verb agreement issues ('everybody need', 'some argues'), missing articles, and preposition errors ('impact on economic growth'). Complex sentence structures are often faulty. While communication is rarely completely blocked, the high frequency of grammatical inaccuracies places the essay firmly within the Band 5 descriptor, where frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader.
