Student answer (Band 4.5)
Now a days environment is a big challange for everyone in this world where you are living.Growing population is a major concern about environment and its may effect the environmental problems.Environmental problems such as pollution which is water pollution, sound pollution, air pollution.its all because of our environment is growing day by day and we can not do so much to protect our envirnment.Dforestration is the reason which is moslty effect our environment. So there is a lot of resons which is effected on our environment. Now a days Plastic bags is used very commonly which is diposeable material and its very harmfull for human health and the environment. Its a low cost material but it creates many problems and pollution. So mostly people think that we choose the recycle products which is used create most of the time.like we can use a Hard core paper bag which is easily recycle instead of plastic bags And we can use the products which is easily recycle. On the others thinks that we need to consume less to protect the environment. For example we can use a bag which is made from fabric material. you can use it most of the time according to your need. Many things you can control in your life can be usefull for environment for example you can use bicycle instead of motor bike it may reduce the polloution and can save the fuel and its a less consumption.so in my opinion you can use recycle products and you may also consume to less to save the environment

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both recycling and consuming less, and the student provides a personal opinion at the end ("so in my opinion you can use recycle products and you may also consume to less"). However, the ideas are limited and lack full development. The discussion is repetitive, focusing heavily on plastic bags and paper bags without deeply exploring the broader implications of each view. Furthermore, some of the reasoning is unclear due to grammatical disruption. This performance aligns best with the Band 5 descriptor, where the task is addressed, but ideas remain underdeveloped and the position, while present, is basic.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The text suffers from a lack of proper paragraphing, as it is presented as one dense block of text, which severely hampers the overall visual and logical progression. While basic cohesive devices like "For example" and "So" are used to connect ideas, the cohesion is often mechanical and inadequate. Referencing is frequently unclear, such as in sentences like "its all because of our environment is growing day by day" where pronouns lack clear antecedents. There is no clear overall progression between the different arguments. These features are characteristic of Band 4, where information and ideas are not arranged coherently and paragraphing is absent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on everyday words and showing limited control over word formation and collocations. Examples of lexical errors and awkward phrasing include "envirnment", "Dforestration", "diposeable material", and "polloution". The student attempts some less common terms like "Hard core paper bag" and "fabric material", but these show inaccuracy and misuse. Vocabulary is minimally adequate to convey the basic topic of the environment, but noticeable errors and spelling mistakes cause some difficulty for the reader, placing this response firmly in the Band 5 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The writing displays a very limited range of grammatical structures. The majority of sentences are simple or poorly constructed compound sentences, and attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty, such as in "where you are living" or "its may effect the environmental problems." There are frequent errors in basic grammar, punctuation, and capitalization, including missing subject-verb agreement and run-on sentences connected incorrectly with commas or conjunctions. Errors are frequent and often strain the reader's understanding, matching the criteria for Band 4.
