Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is often argued that concern for the environment is growing and people are choosing to recycle. while, some people strongly suggest that recycling is not enough because they believe that everyone needs to consume very limited. In my opinion, growing environment is good but recycling is not enough.

On the one hand, people are significantly concern about environmental growth and they believe that protecting existing trees and wood are useful things to do for the better future. However, people are more active about demonstration for cleaning environment and aware about uses of plastic. For example, everyone is trying to maintain roads, poilcy of using such types of waste and cleaning everything that directly effects on environment. In result, recommended recycling helpful for health and also benefical for government as well.

On the second hand, people suggest that recycling is not enough because of factory works and building construction. Additionally, people believes that only reducing plastic is not enough, while, others think that consuming less products which is morely decades direct to environmental growth is good way for people that they concern about such issues. In contrast, people are choosing only reliable products in their daily lives such as less cosmetic, harmfull chemicals also avoids mainly using of artifical colours. In result, This idea works for people who made this strongly dicison that avoiding more harmful things is maintaining environmental structure and people's health.

In conclusion, I discussed both views in this eassy and i would like to follow both views of people that concerned about environment is way more useful but also at the same time reducing use of plastic and cosuming less products is also benefical for better environment growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on recycling and consumption, and it presents a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, the discussion on recycling touches upon relevant points such as waste management and environmental health, but the supporting arguments remain somewhat general and under-developed, relying on vague phrases like "cleaning everything that directly effects on environment." The second body paragraph attempts to explain why consuming less is necessary, mentioning factory works and avoiding harmful chemicals, but the line of reasoning is frequently obscured by awkward expression. To reach a higher level, the ideas need to be more fully extended with precise examples and deeper analysis rather than simply restated.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay displays some overall organization with recognizable paragraph divisions, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and the flow is frequently disrupted by mechanical and inadequate cohesive devices. The writer attempts to structure the body paragraphs using standard transition markers like "On the one hand" and "On the second hand," but these lead into poorly connected sentences. Furthermore, referencing is sometimes unclear, such as when pronouns like "This idea" in the third paragraph lack a precise antecedent. Paragraphing is used, but the internal logical links between sentences need to be strengthened to guide the reader more smoothly through the arguments.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. While the writer attempts some less common topical items such as "environmental growth," "factory works," and "artificial colours," these are frequently marked by noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as saying "growing environment is good" instead of "growing environmental concern." There are also issues with word forms, including "benefical" and "dicison," alongside repetitive use of basic terms like "people," "recycling," and "environment." These lexical inaccuracies cause occasional difficulty for the reader and prevent the response from achieving a higher band. A wider and more precise range of vocabulary, coupled with accurate word formation, is required for further improvement.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on basic patterns with frequent errors in complex structures. There are persistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as "people believes," as well as incorrect article usage, missing prepositions, and faulty clause integration, as seen in "while, some people strongly suggest..." Punctuation is also problematic, including unnecessary commas separating clauses incorrectly. Although some simple sentences are constructed correctly, the frequent grammatical errors across different structures can cause strain and difficulty for the reader. Incorporating a greater variety of error-free complex sentences with reliable control over grammar is essential to progress.
