In today's market the demand and suppply chain has completely been disrupted. The need for more products is rising and the existing supply isn't enough which in term has lead to more waste being produced.

On the one hand, attention to environmental protection has become a major concern . Thus, people who consume products have been involved in recycling items to the maximum extent they can . But due to such a small number of people recyling its not effective.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response fails to meet the minimum length requirement of 250 words, stopping at only 79 words. Due to this severe under-length, the task is addressed only partially, presenting limited and restricted ideas. While the writer touches briefly upon environmental concerns and recycling, both views from the prompt are not adequately discussed, and no clear personal position is presented or developed. To reach a higher level, the writer must write at least 250 words, fully explore both the recycling and consumption perspectives, and provide a well-supported personal opinion with relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

The response exhibits some overall organization with basic paragraph division, but it lacks clear overall progression. Cohesive devices are minimal, and referencing is sometimes unclear, as seen in the transition from market supply issues directly to environmental concerns without adequate logical bridges. The flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. To improve coherence and cohesion, the writer should use a wider variety of cohesive ties, ensure logical links between sentences and paragraphs are explicit, and maintain a clear, progressive development of ideas from introduction to conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the context, featuring basic terms like 'market', 'demand', and 'waste'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward word choices, such as 'suppply' with a double p, 'in term' instead of 'in turn', and 'recyling' with a spelling error. These slips do not entirely impede communication but restrict the range. To achieve a higher score, the student needs to incorporate a wider and more precise range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items related to environmental issues, while ensuring correct spelling and natural collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The writing displays a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple or slightly faulty complex sentences. There are frequent errors in punctuation, spacing, and mechanics, such as missing spaces after periods (e.g., 'disrupted. The need') and missing commas. Verb form control also shows strain, such as 'has lead' instead of 'has led'. To reach a higher band, the writer must demonstrate better control over complex grammatical structures, improve punctuation and spacing consistency, and reduce the frequency of basic grammatical errors.
