Student answer (Band 5.5)
In contemporary world, people are becoming more responsible to protect the environment. many people believe that recycle is the better option to mitigate this issue and others oppose it and argue that consume less is also needed. In my opinion, Recycle is solely not a solution and both recycling and other methods are more likely to give a long - lasting results.
On the one hand , people who considering recycling is sufficient to protect the environment degradation. To explain, after utilisation of paper and individual should have to send paper or wastage to recycling compaines so that they are less contibute to waste .In addition, people who drink in cans or bottles they have to reuse istead of throwing in bins. Consequenty , These changes lead to improve less wastage .
On the other hand, skeptics who say recycling is not adequate and people need to consume less. To elaborate, Possessed food become more prevalent and people intake this products more frequently. In these food items requires a lot of pakaging which contains plastic . people ought to consume less plastic packaging products because plastic is not emerge or dissolve in soil. In addition, people have to use leather bags rather than plastic polythenes. As a result, This changes are more likely to cope with environment degradation.
Nevertheless, Recycling is not sufficient and consume less is not likely to produce better results alone. The better approach is combination of recyling and less usage of plastic products which lead to give more long term results.
In conclusion, Although recycling is enough to tackle issue, use of green products are more likely to give results. However, people commence to use environmently products and encourage recycling give us more better outcomes for protect environment.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses the task partially by discussing both recycling and consuming less, and presents a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion on recycling touches upon valid points regarding waste management, but the explanations are brief and lack fully extended supporting examples. Similarly, the arguments for consuming less are introduced with ideas like 'possessed food' and packaging, but these points are not elaborated with enough depth or clarity. The position is visible throughout the text, yet the supporting arguments tend to generalise rather than thoroughly explore the complexities of both views, placing the response firmly at this level.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays some overall organisation with clear paragraph breaks separating the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, thus establishing a coherent framework. However, the progression of ideas is sometimes hindered by faulty or mechanical cohesive devices. Transitions such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' are used to signal shifts, but referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in sentences like 'This changes are more likely to cope with environment degradation.' While paragraphs are used sufficiently to group related ideas, the mechanical deployment of connectors and occasional lapses in logical flow prevent the writing from achieving a more fluid progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The writer uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary suitable for discussing environmental issues. There are frequent noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word form that can cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include phrases like 'people who considering recycling' instead of considering, 'wastage' used where waste is appropriate, and 'possessed food' instead of processed food. Additionally, spelling and word formation errors appear throughout the text, such as 'contibute', 'compaines', 'Consequenty', 'pakaging', 'emerge' instead of merge, and 'environmently'. These lexical inaccuracies restrict the precision of the response and prevent it from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside some attempts at complex sentences that are frequently faulty. There are recurrent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. For instance, the opening sentence contains 'people are becoming more responsible to protect', which should use the gerund, and 'that recycle is the better option' instead of recycling. Other errors include 'an individual should have to send' and missing articles or incorrect plurals such as 'This changes'. These frequent grammatical errors require reader effort to decode, keeping the grammar score at this level.
