Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views by describing recycling as useful and then arguing that reducing consumption is more effective. Your position is clearest in “Reducing the consumption is actually the perfect solution,” and the conclusion reinforces personal responsibility. However, the discussion is only partly developed: the benefits of recycling are listed, but the explanation of why consuming less is preferable is brief and unsupported by a specific example. The claim that recycling uses “a lot of energy” is relevant, but it needs clarification or evidence to show how this supports your comparison. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of lower consumption and include a concrete example, while making your opinion clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

There is some organisation: the response moves from the environmental problem to recycling, then to its limitations, and finally to reducing consumption. Connectors such as “To start off,” “Nevertheless,” and “In conclusion” help signal these stages. However, progression is not consistently clear, and the ideas are crowded together in long, loosely connected sentences. For example, the sentence beginning “Recycling has many benefits” combines several effects without clearly separating them. The paragraphing also does not consistently distinguish the two views and your own position. Use a clear paragraph for each main point, and connect each supporting explanation directly to the claim it supports rather than relying mainly on transition phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “global warming,” “consumption,” and “responsibility,” and some phrases communicate relevant ideas. However, the range is limited and many spelling and word-choice errors make the writing difficult to read, such as “polution,” “beneficts,” “awarness,” and “manufactors.” Some combinations are also unnatural, including “spread the awareness in the sain of the population” and “get over concerns of the environment.” These problems sometimes obscure your intended meaning. Build a reliable set of environmental collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “raise public awareness,” “reduce environmental concerns,” and “manufacturing processes.” Aim for precise, natural phrasing rather than adding difficult vocabulary without control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, including a cause-and-effect construction beginning “Recycling has many benefits.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty or difficult to follow. Examples include “which a very efficient way” (missing a verb), “there are more than one way” (agreement), and “Reducing the consumption is actually the perfect solution” (article use). Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, with several sentence openings in lowercase and spaces before punctuation. These frequent errors can make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation.
