Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general opinion that both recycling and consuming less are needed, and you include relevant points about reducing waste, reusing products, and pollution affecting crops and fish. However, the discussion of the two views is only partial: the paragraph on consuming less stops after “people who choose lux,” so this side is not explained or supported. The recycling discussion has more detail, but some claims are difficult to follow, and the conclusion mainly repeats the position rather than drawing the arguments together. To strengthen the response, explain how reducing consumption prevents resource use and waste, then compare this with recycling and support each view with a specific example. Keep your position explicit throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, body discussion, and conclusion, and phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Consequently,” and “Additionally” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, the overall progression is difficult to follow because the first body paragraph ends abruptly at “people who choose lux,” while the later paragraph shifts between recycling, harmful waste, and effects on food without clear links. Some references, such as “those” and “this cycle,” do not make their meaning clear. The conclusion introduces a relationship between recycling and consuming less that has not been fully established. Plan one complete paragraph for each view, use clear topic sentences, and ensure each linking phrase accurately signals the relationship between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “minimal,” “chemical,” “toxic,” and “environment,” and some wording conveys relevant ideas about waste and pollution. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, for example “thier surrrounding,” “qualitive,” “dangerus,” and “food circle.” Phrases such as “the base of form using a few products or repeation” and “push individuals to use the minimal things” are also unclear or unnatural. Build a more accurate set of environmental collocations, such as “reduce consumption,” “reuse materials,” and “protect ecosystems.” Proofreading spelling and checking whether each phrase expresses your intended meaning will make your ideas easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, including “If people started make it as their habitual duty it would be a great help” and the sentence beginning “Consequently,” which shows an effort to explain cause and effect. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make several sentences hard to interpret. For example, “both are equally need” has an incorrect verb form, “people can help theirselves” has an incorrect reflexive pronoun, and “they many chemical and harmful product” lacks a clear grammatical structure. There are also problems with agreement and sentence completion, including “which is basically the base form.” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation.
