Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, the worries for environment is growing among individuals but majority of people are recycling things to contribute for it. On the other hand, many society people think that the recycling is not a only enough option for it. They belief that we should use these things at low rate. I strongly concur that recycling is not enough, we should reduce the use of the thopse thing which cause pollution.

Morever, the recycling is a major step that can cause decrease in the pollution. This is because, many waste is being restore and reused. It will reduce the risk of disease caused by dirt and it is beneficial in term of economy. For instance, the young generationm started using trash and garbage thrown by residents and making bags and other useful and beautiful thing. By doing this, they get benefited and also reduce the pollution. Hence, it is contributing to the environment.

Furthermore, reusing the thing is not a only solution to this problem. Because there are many other factor that makes environment polluted. To avoid this , we should set up some rules and regulations and lesson the use of some things. To illustrate, vehicle expel smoke and noise that cause many severe diseases, we should limit or lesson the use of these transports. Instead, we should use electric transport which is cheap and also pollution free. Therefore, recycling cannot surge the air pollution.

In conclusion, we should recycle more and more things but we should also lesson the consumption of polluted things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: recycling is presented as beneficial, while reducing consumption is argued to be necessary, and your position is stated clearly in the introduction and conclusion. The examples of young people making bags from discarded materials and limiting vehicle use are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The recycling paragraph explains benefits in general terms, while the second paragraph shifts towards transport and pollution without clearly explaining how reducing consumption more broadly would help. The claim that electric transport is cheap and pollution-free also needs qualification or support. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of consuming less—for example, reduced demand for new products and less waste—and develop each example more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate body paragraphs and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “On the other hand,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal the main stages of the argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from recycling to disease and economic benefits, then to young people’s activities without fully connecting these points. The second body paragraph begins with reusing items but then focuses mainly on vehicle emissions, so its central idea is not consistently maintained. Some transitions are also mechanical or inaccurate, particularly “Therefore, recycling cannot surge the air pollution,” which does not clearly follow from the preceding point. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example directly to the paragraph’s main claim.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “recycling,” “pollution,” “waste,” “regulations” and “electric transport,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. Examples include “worries for environment,” “restore and reused,” “lesson the use” and “surge the air pollution.” Repetition of “things” and “pollution” also reduces precision. Aim to use more specific terms such as “consumer goods,” “reuse materials,” “reduce consumption” and “vehicle emissions.” Checking spelling and learning common environmental collocations would make your ideas clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a relative clause in “things which cause pollution.” However, errors are frequent, and some sentence structures are faulty enough to interrupt reading. For example, “the worries for environment is growing” has problems with article use, agreement and sentence construction, while “many waste is being restore and reused” contains agreement and verb-form errors. The fragment “Because there are many other factor…” is not correctly joined to the preceding sentence, and “vehicle expel smoke and noise that cause…” has agreement problems. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plural forms and complete sentence boundaries before attempting longer structures.
